A pricing analysis performed by GM Authority indicates that 2019 Buick Envision prices decreased an average of $766 compared to the 2018 model. The starting Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) fell for most trim levels, except for one that experienced a minimal increase.
|Trim Level||2019 Buick Envision||2018 Buick Envision||+ / – 2019|
|Base 2.5L I4||$33,190||$34,990||$-1800|
|Preferred 2.5L I4||32,695||$33,765||$-1070|
|Essence 2.5L I4||$35,490||$36,010||$-520|

|Premium 2.0L Turbo I4||$40,390||$40,610||$-220|
|Premium II 2.0L Turbo I4||$43,290||$43,250||+$40|
The only 2019 Buick Envision price to increase was that of the Premium II trim level with the 2.0L Turbo I4 engine and all-wheel-drive. That model saw its starting price increase by $40.
The following 2019 Buick Envision models saw their prices increase:
- Base 2.5L I4 (-$1,800)
- Preferred 2.5L I4 (-$1,070)
- Essence 2.5L I4 (-$520)
- Preferred 2.5L I4 (-$1,170)
- Essence 2.5L I4 (-$620)
- Premium 2.0L Turbo I4 (-$220)
The Envision hasn’t been as successful as many would have hoped, trailing its segment in terms of sales volume and growth rate. In that regard, it’s possible that the aforementioned decrease in pricing could help spur sales of the compact premium crossover.
The 2019 Buick Envision received a number of changes, updates and new features, including the introduction of new headlights. Base, Preferred and Essence models get new high-intensity discharge, project beam units, while Premium I and II models get Bi-LED headlamps. All models also get LED taillamps.
The single-outlet stainless steel exhaust on the base, Preferred, and Essence trim levels were replaced with a hidden, turned-down exhaust, while the 6-speed automatic transmission on the Premium trim levels is replaced with the new GM 9-speed automatic transmission.
Additional features like a tire fill alert, wireless cell phone charging, and an ionizing air cleaner were added for the 2019 model year. The Ice Blue interior ambient lighting on the instrument panel and front door trim has been replaced with White. Other minor updates include the replacement of exterior paint colors and interior accents, along with two new wheel choices, and the removal of the Buick nameplate from the rear of the vehicle.

About Buick Envision
The Buick Envision is a compact crossover that slots above the subcompact Buick Encore and below the full-size Buick Enclave. The current, first-generation Envision was introduced for the 2016 model year. The vehicle is based on a variant of the GM D2 platform shared with the second-generation GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Volt.
The Envision launched with a relatively steep starting price of $42,995 in 2016, since it was available only in the two highest trim levels and with the most potent turbo 2.0L LTG engine. The 2017 model introduced several lower-end trim levels, enabling the starting price to drop to $34,990. The 2018 model goes unchanged from the 2017 model.
The 2019 Envision received a midcycle refresh that includes a significant amount of changes, including new headlights and front grille, the new GM 9-speed automatic transmission on Premium models, new exterior colors and interior color combinations, reconfiguring the exhaust pipe on non-Premium models to be turned under the vehicle, new taillights, new wheel choices, the replacement of Ice Blue ambient lighting with White, and the addition of three new technologies - an ionizing air cleaner, Tire Fill Alert, and wireless cell phone charging. There's also the removal of the Buick script from the rear of the vehicle.
The 2020 Envision will receive two new exterior colors, at the expense of two existing ones.
