On Friday, we captured spy shots showing the production headlights and taillights of the upcoming mid-engine Corvette C8. Now, we’d like to focus on one particular feature of its taillamps – the dynamic turn signal indicator sequence.
The turn signal indicator on the taillight of the Corvette C8 is represented by a thin, textured red line of LED lights. The indicator sequence commences inboard, closer to the middle of the taillight, and progresses outboard, toward the outside edge of the vehicle.
The sequence is somewhat reminiscent to the one seen on the new/current Audi A4 range (shown in the video below), though done in a different fashion. Whether the mid-engine C8 Corvette features a similar lighting sequence at the front is currently unknown, since we weren’t able to capture the prototype with the turn signal indicator enabled from the front.
