LS Swap Geo Tracker Is One Wild 9 Second Street Car: Video

Thanks to the magic of the LS engine swap, you can now turn pretty much anything into a nine second car – so long as you have enough enough money, skills and determination.
The internet is full of absurd LS swapped vehicles, from Porsche 911s to Ferrari race cars, but we think we may have found our new favorite LS-swapped vehicle: the V8 Geo Tracker.
We came across this rather wild build on Facebook marketplace, where it’s currently listed for sale for $14,500. It’s definitely not cheap, but this is probably the only Geo Tracker in the world that is capable of nine second quarter-mile times. Not only will it complete a quarter-mile faster than many supercars, this little Tracker is also completely street legal and has never been trailered to the track. The seller says that on any given night at his local track, the Tracker is usually the fastest car that arrive there under its own power.
Powering this mad Tracker dragster is a 6.0-liter turbocharged LQ4 V8 running on E85, which is paired with a 4L80 automatic transmission. It also has the exhaust manifolds from a Corvette Z06, 80 lb fuel injectors, an MSD two-step (which prevents the car from doing wheelies and/or flipping) and an 8.8 Ford rear axle with 4.11 gears and a limited slip differential.
The LS swap Geo tracker’s best 1/4 mile pass to date is a 9.8@132 mph. The owner says this is “not a beginners car,” and is “best for someone who has some experience with fast vehicles.” That’s the understatement of the century – it takes a brave soul to pilot this tinny, top-heavy little jeeplet down the runway with the throttle fully depressed.

Assuming this is reliable which it appears to be, a V8 turbo, nine second car with all the required drag goodies? This is actually a bargain and you can even put your slicks in the back…
