The Most Expensive 2019 Chevrolet Blazer Model Priced At $46,795

2019 Chevrolet Blazer L

The L (1L0) model is the entry-level Blazer, and it starts at $29,995. In other words, this is the cheapest variant of the all-new Blazer. It is powered by the naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (RPO code LCV) mated to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission driving exclusively the front wheels (all-wheel-drive is not an option on this base model).

2019 Chevrolet Blazer (1LT, 2LT, 3LT)

The next level up in the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer model hierarchy is the mid-level Blazer trim, which actually consists of 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT models:

  • 1LT, or 2.5L Cloth, starts at $33,495 and includes the same 2.5-liter I4 LCV engine as the L mated to the GM 9-speed automatic transmission, along with a cloth interior, 18″ aluminum wheels, and the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system with 8″ diagonal color-touch. Like the L model, this one is front-wheel-drive exclusive.
  • 2LT, or 3.6L Cloth, starts at $34,495 and includes the same features as the 1LT, but swaps the four-banger for the 3.6-liter six-cylinder LGX engine, also mated to the 9-speed automatic transmission. Adding the optional AWD raises the starting price to $37,195.
  • 3LT, or 3.6L Leather, starts at $38,695 and includes the same features as the 2LT, but with a leather interior instead of cloth. Adding AWD raises the starting price to $41,395.

  • Black perforated leather-appointed seating surfaces with sueded microfiber inserts and red accents throughout
  • Unique 20″ wheels with available 21″ wheels
  • Gesture Power Liftgate

It is available in FWD for $41,795 and AWD for $44,695.

About Chevrolet Blazer

The Chevrolet Blazer is a mid-size crossover utility vehicle (CUV). It is currently Chevrolet's second-biggest CUV, slotting between the compact Chevrolet Equinox and full-size Chevrolet Traverse. The current model was introduced for the 2019 model year and represents the fifth generation of the Blazer nameplate, which dates back to 1969. The model rides on the regular-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform shared most directly with the second-gen GMC Acadia and first-gen Cadillac XT5. The long-wheelbase variant of the same platform is shared with the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, and Cadillac XT6.

  1. It’s been said a fool and their money are soon parted. What is GM thinking pricing the top model at $47,000 when there are so many other better choices out there at that price point.

    1. Who’s more the fool? The fool, or the fool that follows?

  2. Why is this thing priced so close to the Traverse? Especially the RS and Premier which can crest 53 and 54K which is about what a loaded up High Country and Premier Traverse costs. Sounds like it is priced about 5K too high with these trims

  3. In typical GM fashion (at least over the last few years), the asking prices are through the roof. Then, like Kohl’s or Old Navy, they have fire sales – 20% below MSRP! – to move the merchandise and make people think they’re getting a great deal. In reality, all they are doing is bringing the prices down to where they should have been in the first place and more in line with their competitors.

If GM’s products were class leading and didn’t suffer from obvious penny pinching, you could argue the price premiums are justified, but they are always mid-pack and nickel-and-dimed to death, which makes the prices laughable to the media and potential customers.

  4. I was nauseated yesterday when I started building a Blazer on the configurator.
The price points are out of touch with reality.

  5. Dirty secret is the MSRP is near meaningless, over half of these will be leased so the lease offers (which change month to month) are a better indicator of price…The higher MSRP Equinox has a cheaper lease than the lower MSRP Cruise this month…

  6. The game is to price them as such then put out all kinds of discount offers to move the metal. It seems to be working fairly well in spite of all the armchair know-it-all criticism they get.

  7. The Blazer RS AWD nicely equipped is $52,000, a few thousand less than a BMW X3 and about $5,000 more than an Acura RDX A-Spec. GM doesn’t make any sense with where they priced it.

    1. Meanwhile, the Blazer is a size class bigger than both the X3 and RDX… while having more eye-catching styling. Even so, expect to see some healthy incentives on this model as time goes on… much like GMC has offered on the second-gen Acadia.

      1. The issue I have is the price differential between Equinox Premier and Blazer Premier—$11k.

Blazer has 3.6 vs 2.0 turbo that should be fed premium. Advantage Blazer even though 3.6 is no burner by any means.

Blazer also has rear camera mirror and adaptive cruise which Equinox doesn’t. Understand cargo area , very small difference, advantage Blazer.

Anyone spending their money emotionally rather than practically will spring for the newly styled Blazer, but as a semi- practical spender of my money, could never justify $11k more for Blazer! Additionally some models of Equinox now have $4250 incentive.

Once newness wears off, incentives will be required to stay competitive and keep the plant running!

        1. Equinox gained the option of ACC for 2019; however, many Japanese competitors offer ACC (and active safety equipment) standard even on base trims…

GM really needs to give the Blazer at least 400hp option to match the “Camaro” looks…

  8. The styling of the LTs just looks flat out frumpy. The RS looks so much sharper with very minimal changes. One would think that instead of having thousand of plain Chevy Blazer’s driving around, GM would be willing to introduce the styling of the RS as the base model and maybe take the challenge to step up the RS even more.

  9. If GM would consider bringing back Oldsmobile and Pontiac I’m sure that their Sales would go through the roof for these were very popular Makes of GM. Why waste so much money on Chevrolet,, bring back the Gentlemen’ s Muscle Cars? motorhead67gto

    1. In today’s environment Olds/Pontiac would had to be 1-2 model niches but IMO with Pontiac it had to be married to GMC/Buick dealers, have a swb Alpha coupe/sedan with a special tuned 2.0-2.7t for starters to a “Pontiac-headed” 5.3-6.6 V8s and an Alpha CUV if not a performance version based off of the Equinox/Terrain.

Oldsmobile can be an Alpha PHEV/performance sedan/coupe and CUV, put it at Chevy dealers with maybe one gas model (442) .

    2. I can only think of two vehicles for Olds that could come close as a crossover utility; the silhouette and the Bravada.

Pontiac might have some advantages if it went crossovers: Aztek (it will for sure fit today’s market now with so many terribly designed XUVs), Torrent, Montana, and maybe even the Vibe.

Problem is that the millennials and baby boomers don’t like either brands.

  11. So I can spend almost $50k on a two row Chevrolet, or get a decently equipped Lexus RX or Cadillax XT5? Yes, that makes sense!
