The C7 Corvette Z06 already sounds pretty good thanks to its 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V8 engine, but for some people, a stock exhaust just won’t cut it.
Luckily for those folks, there are a ton of aftermarket exhaust systems available for the C7 Corvette. Borla, Flowmaster and Corsa are among the most popular exhaust systems for the famous American sports car, but don’t discount the folks over at Callaway, either.
Callaway has been tuning Corvettes for decades now and its expertise shows with its cheekily named ‘Double-D’ exhaust system. These exhaust kit looks great, with Callaway’s familiar D-shaped exhaust tips, and can also provide a small boost in power. Most importantly, Callaway says it has been specially designed to minimize the “motorboat effect” of Chevrolet LS engine’s firing order, giving it a tighter, more evenly spaced sound.
The company’s exhaust kits consists of stainless steel mufflers, polished exhaust tips and stainless steel over-axle tubes. It ships with all the hardware needed for installation, along with full paper instructions. Callaway promises it will be easy to install as well, although if you don’t have much experience working on Corvettes, you may want to get a professional to install it.
Callaway also offers a number of other C7 Corvette upgrade parts including short throw shifters, wheels and brakes. Oh yeah, don’t forget the carbon fiber Corvette ‘AeroWagen’ kit, which transforms your C7 Corvette into a wagon-shaped liftback of sorts.
The company doesn’t just deal in Corvettes, either, also offering upgrade packages for the Chevrolet Silverado, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Camaro, GMC Sierra, Cadillac CTS-V and many more.
If you’re curious what Callaway’s Double-D exhaust system sounds like, be sure to give it a listen in the video embedded above. You’ll want to make sure your headphones are plugged in, too. You can thank us later.
