The launch of the 2019 Blazer is finally upon us. And, as part of that launch, Chevy has a new ad campaign for the all-new midsize crossover SUV.
The visually-compelling clip is the result of a project by Commonwealth McCann and Big Block Creative Services. The campaign was designed to showcase the stunning design of the Blazer RS and Premier models, and the video was shot in downtown Portland, Oregon and all along the breathtakingly rugged Oregon coast.
The clip released today features the all-new 2019 Blazer and gives the public a first look at the sleek, new model in motion while spotlighting the differences between the RS and Premier trims.
Marek Glaser, Director at Big Block, explained that the video shoot was “all about capturing the duality of the two different Blazers.” The company used a drone platform to obtain aerial footage and wide driving vista shots of the epic landscape along the Oregon coast, as well as the bustling Portland city life. These contrasting locations were carefully selected in order to effectively communicate the distinct personalities of each 2019 Blazer model. Specifically, the Blazers featured in the video are a Red Hot 2019 RS and a Silver Ice Metallic 2019 Premier model.
Chevrolet created the Blazer RS and Blazer Premier models to suit the different tastes of customers. The RS has a sporty character, with various blacked-out elements to emit a more aggressive appearance. The Premier model, on the other hand, is mechanically identical, but with a more shiny chrome trim.
The multi-platform campaign focuses on different themes for broadcast and social outlets. For the broadcast spot, the team put an emphasis on the design of the Blazer vehicles, while the social videos were more about the actual features of the vehicle.
As we write this, Chevy’s 2019 Blazer is beginning to trickle into dealers across the county, and Chevy managed to deliver 27 units of the new Blazer in December.
Stay tuned to GM Authority for more Chevrolet Blazer news.

Certainly a good, contemporary looking vehicle especially in RS and Premier trim. I can actually hear the Chevrolet dealers celebrating on having what is likely to be another popular vehicle to sell that will compliment the hot selling Traverse and Equinox.
I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole without a way to disable the start/stop system, but I sincerely hope that the market responds positively to what I think is a well styled vehicle. Hopefully it hits the target audience without cannibalizing sales of the Traverse, Equinox, Tahoe, or Impala.
You know why the Chevy Blazer is not going to do well in sales?
(1) Because GMA keeps putting up the same red Chevy Blazer articles EVERYDAY on here in a desperate attempt to sell this thing. Obviously no confidence in selling itself.
(2) It is made in Mexico. GM made a HUGE mistake in trying to save a few bucks (or so it thought) by FIRING 15,000 hard-working American and Canadian workers…It is absolutely disgraceful GM under Miss Marry Barra would claim the need to destroy so many lives and families (an d communities) in the U.S. and Canada when Ford, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, BMW, and more are all INCREASING crossover and SUV production in the U.S. and hiring American workers. Fire the employees, GM, and now you have less people to buy your products!
And just wait until the American President shuts down the Mexican border for safety or trade issues. Good luck getting your order.
Made in Mexico??????!!!!!
NO GO!!!
My cousin just was let go at GM Canada operations. Sorry, GM, change your ways and people might not be looking elsewhere.

Very nice commercial. This is what GM needs to severely need to work on. If they do this it will catch people eye on all their models
Fancy commercials are not going overcome GM’s serious mistake of firing thousands of Americans and Canadians to make this thing in Mexico.
I will buy a new Ford Bronco instead which actually is like a modern version of the original unlike this Blazer which is name only, and MADE IN USA supporting Americans! Taxes, profits, and worker money stays in the country and helps build communities like Detroit, etc.!
The health of GM is all I care about! Where cars are build is nonsense, where the money goes is the point people need to pay attention to!
