Chevrolet Corvette owners and enthusiasts rejoice—registration is now open Bloomington Gold 2019 event that’s set to kick off in late June. Remember, though, this year will be different. Earlier this month, the organization announced it would open registration for Chevrolet Camaro owners for the first time, significantly expanding the size and scope of the June event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
“Not only do a lot of our customers have Camaros in their garage, [the Camaro] is a nice stepping stone before entering the Corvette hobby,” said Guy Larsen, Bloomington Gold Owner and President earlier this month. “Why not share the fun that so many Corvette owners are having at Bloomington Gold with owners of another Chevrolet vehicle with the same need for speed?”
The event opens with its annual lap around the track before attendees have the opportunity to begin the road tour. Popular track events such as GoldSpeed, GoldLaps, the Gold Autocross are back while the always fun Corvette Ride and Drive event also returns. Corvette owners will get to enjoy a host of activities such as Certification, Survivor and Benchmark judging.Â
There will be vendors on site that will cater to Camaro owners, too. However, Camaro owners will not be able to participate in is Bloomington Gold’s Certification of the model. However, they will be able to drive laps around the famous raceway while also being able to partake in the road tour.
Bloomington Gold kicks off Thursday, June 20, 2019, and runs through Saturday, June 22. Single-day passes start at $22 thanks to an early-bird special while a three-day pass costs $50. Tickets include parking while kids 12 and under are free. More than 30,000 people attended the early three-day event, and the addition of Camaros will only make Bloomington Gold a go-to event for any Chevrolet fan.Â
