General Motors has launched the online configurator for the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer, allowing you to view various trim levels and options for the new crossover, along with a complete pricing breakdown.
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer will be offered in four trim levels: base L, 2.5L Cloth, 3.6L Cloth, 3.6L Leather, RS and range-topping Premier.
Blazers equipped with the 2.5-liter transmission will be offered with the nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only. To get all-wheel drive, customers will have to opt for the 3.6-liter V6 model, which starts at $37,195 with AWD.
Available exterior colors for the 2019 Blazer include Sunlit Bronze Metallic, Red Hot, Nightfall Gray Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Black, Graphite Metallic, Oakwood Metallic, Kinetic Blue Metallic and Cajun Red Tintcoat. Interior colors vary by trim, but include black cloth, grey cloth, black leather and beige leather.
Our Blazer RS is good example of going too far with the options. We ticked the box for all-wheel drive and also selected the ‘Enhanced Convenience and Driver Confidence Package’, the ‘Sun and Wheels Package’ and the ‘Rear Seat Entertainment Package’, bringing the MSRP to well over $50,000.
Lavishly equipped our example Blazer may be, but we think many potential Blazer customers will want the V6 engine and AWD at the very least, and as the configurator shows, they’ll have to shell out nearly $40k to get it.
Click here to use the online configurator for the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. The configurator will allow you to select and view different exterior and interior colors on the crossover, along with a variety of trim levels, options packages and wheels, among more. If you are considering a 2019 Blazer, you’ll definitely want to play around with the configurator before stepping foot in a dealership.
The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is on sale at US Chevrolet dealers now, with prices starting from $29,995 before tax and destination for the entry-level L model.
Comments
$52K to option it out the way our Volvo was configured. That’s about $5K more than a comparable Ford Edge while down about 30 horsepower.
LOL
$55K US to start for the red Chevy Blazer GMA keeps showing us every darn day?!??!?! Are you out of your mind, GM?!?!?
This thing is made in Mexico (not buying because of that reason alone) and the interior is not up to par with the competition. Plastics everywhere. No wonder GMA tries to so hard to sell this thing on here. It wont sell itself and if you really need one just wait for discounts and rebates.
Can anyone explain how Miss Mary Barra thought it was a genius idea to make this thing in Mexico after firing 15,000 Americans and Canadians right before Christmas? To save a few bucks???
After all, Ford is making the new Bronco in Michigan, even Toyota and Honda are increasing investments and production of crossovers and SUVs in the USA. I swear they are now more of American companies than GM is.
Mary Barra is going to kill the company. Sales are dropping, profits are dropping, and people are mad at GM. This Blazer is an example of poor decision-making.
Disband the UAW and all GM vehicles will be made in the USA.
Fail Edge ST still can’t out accelerate or out-tow the Acadia v6 dispite the 30 hp advantage due to weight penalty (and being a Ford) can’t out handle or break even the Acadia, Blazer will eat it’s lunch. As far as the Volvo good luck keeping a turbo/supercharged CUV on the road to get v6 economy, it ain’t a 240 Gl..
Gm is not way to high
Are we sure this configurator will be up for awhile or will it be pulled?
You have to go all the way up to 40k just to get leather. What the hell?
The fact that GM only shows the top of the line RS models, usually in that same red I am starting to get tired of, says they don’t hold much confidence in the regular models selling.
Wait a year and there will plenty on dealers lots with rebates all over them and salespeople desperately trying to get rid of them. Or rental fleets.
$48,300 for an RS configured the way I would want it. Way too much for me. Seems like there are a lot of better alternatives to this thing, so I’ll shop elsewhere.
Appears some of you have not shopped much lately.
Things are expensive at sticker price no matter what you look at. Even a Malibu can break $35k today.
The reality is you can load up a RS to $48,000. Then you deal and play sales or GM card money and you will be able to get the Blazer at a good price and GM will still make money.
My Acadia was $54k with the dealing, discount and GM cars money top off I got it for near $39k.
So the numbers you are quoting here are not what you will pay unless you have no clue how to buy a car and then you deserve to over pay.
The price you will pay for an RS at worse will be $40k and if you wait and work a desk it will be high $30s and GM will still make a lot of money.
But what you are loosing sight of is that most of the competitors are lower to start with by up to $5K and you can also negotiate their prices down TOO! GM does not sell in a vacuum, though sometimes I think they think they do!
As to GM card money, that is generally is a loosing proposition unless they are offering additional bonus money which they now are–additional $750 for a limited time. The 1% you get back on the normal GM Extended Family Card is nothing! There are credit cards out there that give you 4% on gas, 3% on restaurants, 1.5% on grocery stores…. Money back is money back. Could take that money and put it in a interest bearing account and have a heck of a lot more than 1%.
Scott3 you dont know what your talking about other brand with all the up grades 10,000 cheaper you must be a gm guy moron
General Motors CEO Mary Barra needs to decide, if CUV are to replace sedans then General Motors needs to begin building high performance variants of their CUV which means Cadillac offering a XT5 with a LF4 twin-turbo 3.6L V6 or the next generation Escalade getting the 550 hp Blackwing twin-turbo V8 and offering the 650 hp LT5 supercharged 6.2L V8 as an option for the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer because if Barra took a look around.. US competitors are already offering high performance variants of trucks and SUVs.
Not that the 3.6L is a slouch, but a 375 horsepower engine would be cool as an option.
Or an EV version that could run with the Tesla Model X.
then it will be $50,000!!!
Hi performance cuv is ridiculous! If you want power buy a Tahoe, suburban, Escalade.
They also need to start pricing them closer to the sedans they are killing off. This Blazer fully equipped is well over 10K more expensive than a V6 premier loaded Impala. Yes the Impala lacks AWD and sitting up high but that is not worth 12-13K more money. And before a certain member starts spouting about paying 39K for a 54K CUV then I must point out that I paid 24K for my 2017 Impala LT with convenience group that had a sticker over 32K so the discount thing works both ways. Yeah try buying any 2019 Blazer for 24K brand new!
Makes waiting for a year end discount or else waiting longer for a quality used one to show up seem worth it to me.
The RS model in red looks very cool.
That’s going to be the most popular trim level I think.
I agree, vehicles are very expensive nowadays. However, people keep saying in these comments that they would need to bring high powered variants and all sorts of expensive options to these vehicles, or even if it was an off road variant. The problem with that is those same people will complain about the pricing and say “buying a new vehicle is a waste of money” and try to buy them or off lease, but then still complain how they can’t get what they want so they “might as well buy new”. Point is, people suck and love to complain. It’s a nice looking vehicle and a crossover is what people want and buy.
Amen!
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Would also add the people the are ‘demanding’ it be priced similar to the sedans they are getting rid of. They are getting rid of sedans because they arn’t making enough money on them. How on earth then could they be expected to offer a larger vehicle for the same price? Of course it will be more expensive than an Impala. That’s why they are making Blazers instead, TO MAKE MONEY. They are a business, and that is the goal of every business.
I can see 5-6K more expensive. Not 12k more. That is pricing this vehicle out of reach for the average buyer. I could care a less how much profit they think they need to make per vehicle. There is a reasonable amount and a greedy amount.
Says the person who doesn’t own the company!
No pearl white. Cmon GM.
Cant have every color
I won’t bye or lease to pricey not worth it a lot cheap ones out that have all the safety features for less money gm is not good luck in selling blazers you’ll need it
Blazer prices are ridiculous high is gm nuts
Everyone is complaining about price but honestly I feel it’s pretty competitive. My wife and I bought an Escape this spring, we drive a lot and it’s our main car as we work at the same place, so we got the titanium. Has basically every option except the safety package with lane keep and all that crap. Sticker was high 30s (wanna say 38 and change). Using the configurator for the Blazer, I loaded one up as similar as I could and it looks like around $43 sticker. Has the addition of cooled seats as well (but couldn’t find the option for passenger lumbar support.) To me that seems pretty attractive to be only $5k higher sticker for a step up in size. All depends how rebates and discounts shake out but it doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. Cars in general are very expensive nowdays but seems competitive in my mind.
Ryan your and idiot
you’re *
Blazer prices are way to high
Each model above the L seem about 3-4K too high and as we know that is so GM can discount it by that much if sales aren’t at projected levels. The RS AWD loaded up with options is over 53K and the Premier nearly 54K. Those prices stick this into Lincoln/Lexus/Infinity/Acura territory where this vehicle is really lacking in the luxury and prestige department. In fact I just priced a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus AWD with the optional 2.7 TT V6 in higher trim level Reserve and it is priced at 53935. The only way to get a higher trim yet is to go black label. The Lincoln is twice as nice, has 5 different interior color choices, looks more upscale and has more power to boot!
Most of the people won’t be able to afford high priced blazer what was gm thinking they nuts
Blazer prices are over priced that’s all that needs to be said
Overpriced and GM will sell everyone they make and then some! Look just because you cant afford it doesn’t mean its overpriced
Where it’s slotted between Equinox and Traverse…it IS overpriced.
This Blazer will probably sell well for the first 6 months to a year, then rebates and discounts will follow to keep sales numbers acceptable.
$55,000 for a mid size crossover, with nothing special, in a market flooded with other much better established makes and models. Too little too late GM.
Can anyone tell me why I should buy this Mexican made Blazer over something like an Acura RDX, which is designed, engineered and made in Ohio?
Other than being a few inches shorter, the Acura blows the doors of this Blazer in performance, material, reliability and resale value.
Blazers are way over priced anybody paying 50,000 is stupid there slot better SUV for alot less that as all the stuff you want and need
Blazer is way over priced gm sucks
It’s only over priced if you cant afford it
It’s over priced whether you can afford it or not it’s not worth the priced moron
Not worth the price! And GM will sell everyone they build and then some! And you think I am the moron! If they were overpriced then they wouldn’t sell!
They just came out so can you say they all been sold and how on the the hell you know have you witnessed everyone that was sold lol your a joke what you work for gm did they pay you to say that idiot
