About Chevrolet Malibu

The Chevrolet Malibu is a mid-size sedan sold in most markets where Chevrolet has a business presence. It is currently Chevrolet's second-largest sedan, in the U.S. and Canada, slotting above the subcompact Chevrolet Sonic and compact Chevrolet Cruze but under the full-size Chevrolet Impala.

The current, ninth-generation model was introduced in 2016. It rides on the GM E2 platform shared with the Buick Regal, Opel/Vauxhall Insignia, Holden Commodore NG, and the Cadillac XT4.

For 2019 - the fourth model year of the ninth-gen model - the Malibu received a midcycle enhancement, otherwise known as a facelift or refresh, that consists of revised exterior styling, a new Malibu RS trim level, a CVT transmission for L, LS, LT and RS models, a new infotainment system, a new 8-inch reconfigurable driver information center (DIC), LED headlamps on the Premier model, and various other new features.

  1. the hell with the colors ,,what about upgrading the interior, get rid of that cheap looking plastic , what’s with the 7 different series , made the Malibu and let the customer pick the options they want .. if the Malibu is going to be the only sedan left ( getting of the others is another dumb idea from Demented MARY ) you have to have available everything you got to successfully compete with other successful competitors if not it will fail to and layoff more workers ..

  3. Now all they have to do is fix the following items to make this car competitive-

    1) More powerful base engine with an upgrade to 175-185 HP
    2) Upgrade to NVH levels
    3) Change out the cloth on the dash to padded stitched vinyl
    4) Upgrade door panel and other interior materials
    5) Improve quality control, especially there new transmissions. Shudder to think how the new CVT will fare
    6) Make the L trim level fleet only
    7) Give LS model BLISS with an upgrade to full advanced safety pack an available option
    8) RS model needs the 2.0T as an option
    9) Leather wheel and shift knob std on LT
    10) Less restrictions on options and features combined with more advertising
