Corvette Z06 Gives Santa A Lift On Christmas: Video

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a great car for a number of things: driving on the racetrack, going for a cruise on the weekends or even taking a road trip here and there.
Russian YouTube channel DragTimes has discovered another use for the Corvette Z06: a winter Santa delivery express. In a cheeky (and perhaps a bit cheesy) Christmas video put together by the speed-obsessed DragTimes guys, a Corvette Z06 is shown coming to rescue a stranded Santa Claus, whose reindeer appear to have abandoned him (?). The Corvette then does some dramatic drifts along a wintery highway en route to Santa’s next stop at a nearby kid’s house. It’s a fun video for any Corvette enthusiast to watch this Christmas, and we must say, some of the camera work is quite impressive.
We’re a bit confused why the Corvette leaves after dropping Santa off at the first house, though. How will he get where he’s going after? Was that his last stop? Will the sleigh fix itself and automatically come back to get him? We have questions, but perhaps we’re thinking about this video a little bit too hard.
The Daytona Sunrise Orange Corvette Z07 seems to have had some minor modifications made to it, with DragTimes claiming it’s producing 700 hp. You probably don’t need a reminder, but the stock Z06 makes 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8. With a 0-60 mph time of around 3 seconds and a General Motors-claimed top speed of 198 mph. Both seven-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission are offered with the Z06, but it’s not clear if this is a manual or automatic example.
Check out the video embedded above and be sure to drive safe when travelling this holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Corvette fans!
