Last week, we brought you our best look yet at the upcoming 2020 GMC Sierra Denali HD. Today, our spy caught up to a 2020 GMC Sierra HD in SLT trim level, capturing its unique grille in the process.
The grille treatment on the 2020 GMC Sierra HD SLT will be notably different from its light duty counterpart. While the all-new, 2019 Sierra 1500 SLT features a unique grille design with “open slats” interrupted by the GMC logo, the new 2020 Sierra HD SLT will feature a similar design, but one with three prominent horizontal bars without any interruptions in the horizontal slats. In order to not completely give away the identity of the vehicle for obvious reasons, the prototype shown here is not wearing the GMC logo.
Other elements captured by the spy photos include a full-LED headlight cluster as well as an absence of fog lamps mounted on the bumper, signifying that the headlights make sufficient light in order to handle primary and secondary (fog lamp) lighting duties.
The SLT trim slots just below the Denali in the GMCÂ model hierarchy. Additionally, the light duty Sierra SLT derives the off-road-oriented AT4 trim.
The 2020 GMC Sierra HD will represent a complete overhaul of the heavy duty Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD models. The models are expected to go on sale some time in the 2019 calendar year as a 2020 model and deliver improvements in all areas, including design, capability, fuel economy, and comfort.
Stay tuned to GM Authority for ongoing GMC news and GMCÂ Sierra news coverage.

Here is Bloody Marry´s EV and autonomous future. Big trucks – real cash cows.
More dull news from the land of the bland.

Over what my 2017?
Where have we heard this before? 1500?
Again we will wait and wait and wait to see. Then get the SAME as the 1500 only HD.
Sure wish our tariffs would let VW market a HD truck in the USA. I would buy an Audi sedan and a VW or Audi HD truck and be done with this GM crap.
I see mention of improvements in design and MPG and comfort blah blah blah….
What about reliability? I can understand making these changes in the 1/2 ton class, but the HD trucks are all about work. I want my truck to start every day for the next 15-20 years with no problems. Good MPG would be nice but I don’t give too much of a rats a$$ about comfort or design.
RAM gets it. Every new 1500 comes standard with the E-torque system, and even they realize its not as reliable as a standard V8. Hence the RAM 1500 classic.
I am buying a 2020, but would really like the fog lamps, maybe I will have to replace the front bumper with a 2019
Who the hell cares about a grill.
Give me reasonable torque in a gas motor.
It’s kinda weird they would HAVE better lights on the slt so you don’t need fog laps but they have them on the Denali I just feel like we are going to be DISAPPOINTED with the heavy duty like a lOT of people were with the light duty we already know the interior SUCKS!!!
Your share is great, I found a lot of things in your post.
