NCM To Host Second Annual Corvette Racing Weekend Next Month

Next month, from November 9th through the 10th, the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky will host its second annual Corvette Racing Weekend, allowing fans to come and celebrate their favorite factory racing program and its many successes. Corvette Racing Program Manager Doug Fehan – the man responsible for guiding the Corvette Racing team to 9 driver championships, 10 team championships, and more than 100 race wins – will be in attendance.

The event will kick off on Friday, November 9th with a Poker Run that includes a tour of the Yuengling Brewery and Jerry’s Classic Cars Museum in Pottsville, PA, concluding with a dinner reception at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey, PA. At the reception, Doug Fehan will be joined by National Corvette Museum Hall of Famer Gary Claudio and GM Head of Vehicle Performance Alex MacDonald. An autograph session will be held at the end of that day’s festivities.

The following day, the fun will continue with a tour of the AACA Museum Storage Collection Garage, a Corvette Racing seminar Q&A session, a talk from Alex MacDonald on developing the Chevrolet Corvette, Corvette Racing memorabilia auction, a second autograph session, and more.

Space is limited, so if you’d like to attend the National Corvette Museum’s second annual Corvette Racing Weekend, we recommend purchasing tickets sooner rather than later. As part of the event, the NCM offered a very limited run of 15 Corvette C7.R scale models, autographed by Corvette’s factory racing drivers, but priced at $200 per, those are already sold out.

That should give you an indication of just how deep fanaticism runs among the Corvette Racing program’s most devoted followers.

You can learn more about the event and register to attend on the National Corvette Museum website, and of course, keep following GM Authority for all the latest Corvette Racing news.
