Buick Envision sales decreased 26 percent in the third quarter of 2018 and 25 percent in the first nine months of 2018. Though GM insists that the lower sales volume across its portfolio is a result of a strategic approach that involves decreasing profit-sapping incentives in order to boost profits, the drop in Envision deliveries is far from great, and rather concerning. So, in what could very well be an effort to reverse the downward trend, the Tri Shield brand has introduced a couple of attractive Envision discounts for the month of October 2018.
Incentives
The nationwide Buick incentives on the Envision are as follows:
- For everyone:
- $1,250 Bonus Cash for cash purchases
- 2.9 percent APR + $1,750 Bonus Cash when one finances with GM Financial
- 12 percent below MSRP when one finances with GM Financial
The brand provides the following example of the 12 percent discount offer on a 2018 Buick Envision Essence:
- $1,794 price reduction below MSRP + $3,122 Purchase Allowance = $4,916 Below MSRP
The above offers are applicable to all Envision models except for the base Envision (1SV) model.
Here are the applicable Envision trim levels and their corresponding MSRPs:
- Preferred (1SD) – $36,865
- Essence (1SL) – $38,715
- Premium (1SN) – $43,315
- Premium II (1SP) – $45,955
Shoppers should note that some customers may not qualify for this offer, and that it is not available with special finance, lease, and some other offers.
Disclaimers
- Must take delivery by October 31, 2018.
- See dealer for details.
- Incentive for the United States of America, unless otherwise specified.

About Buick Envision
The Buick Envision is a compact crossover that slots above the subcompact Buick Encore and below the full-size Buick Enclave. The current, first-generation Envision was introduced for the 2016 model year. The vehicle is based on a variant of the GM D2 platform shared with the second-generation GMC Terrain, Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Volt.
The Envision launched with a relatively steep starting price of $42,995 in 2016, since it was available only in the two highest trim levels and with the most potent turbo 2.0L LTG engine. The 2017 model introduced several lower-end trim levels, enabling the starting price to drop to $34,990. The 2018 model goes unchanged from the 2017 model.
The 2019 Envision received a midcycle refresh that includes a significant amount of changes, including new headlights and front grille, the new GM 9-speed automatic transmission on Premium models, new exterior colors and interior color combinations, reconfiguring the exhaust pipe on non-Premium models to be turned under the vehicle, new taillights, new wheel choices, the replacement of Ice Blue ambient lighting with White, and the addition of three new technologies -  an ionizing air cleaner, Tire Fill Alert, and wireless cell phone charging. There's also the removal of the Buick script from the rear of the vehicle.
The 2020 Envision will receive two new exterior colors, at the expense of two existing ones.
The Buick Envision is built exclusively at the GM Dong Yue factory operated by GM China and SAIC for global markets

build it in the USA and there will be not tariff increases resulting in more sales and more jobs for Americans
Nobody wants a Made in China car. Americans want their companies to build cars in the U.S. supporting American jobs and communities. We are tired of propping up failed socialist/ communist countries while our people suffer.
Let China make cars for its own country using its own innovation. And just think of the pollution saved by not having to send cars to the other side of the world!
Made in China, should be made at Lake Orion Mi plant where we build the Sonic, and Chevy bolt and the former Buick verano.
I’m purely speculating here but I believe GM owns shipping companies, which enables it to ship small cars from China for profit here , it’s a shame
It’s BS. When you go to finance through GM. Doesn’t Matter how good your credit it, they’re going to hit you you with a high interest rate.
Engineered by GM and made in China. What could go wrong? For this kind of money, GM must be making a killing. One could buy a real SUV made in the USA by BMW or Mercedes or heck even the best handling SUV of all, the Alfa Romero Stelvio.
What would be even better than a 12-percent discount was if Buick decided to build the Envision in the USA; importing from China made sense when it was considered as a new vehicle.
