Chevrolet on Thursday unveiled a brand-new Silverado 1500 High Country pickup truck concept at the Texas State Fair, on the way to showing off another three customized concept trucks that will be on display at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade show in Las Vegas. Each of the four is custom-tailored to suit a particular type of owner – including this Chevrolet Silverado LTZ concept, which was built to show folks who tow how the Silverado can be customized with genuine Chevrolet parts and accessories to suit their particular needs.
Based on the all-new, 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 with GM’s 5.3 Liter V8 EcoTec3 L84 petrol engine, the Silverado LTZ concept gets a boost from its Chevrolet Cold-Air Intake Upgrade System and a Cat-Back Single-Exit Exhaust Upgrade System with a bowtie-logo tip. Stopping power is improved via a six-piston Brembo Front Brake Upgrade System with color-matched rear calipers. All three components are available directly from the Chevrolet Performance Parts Catalog.
Of the rest of the Chevrolet Silverado LTZ’s custom content, some of it is a bit more practical in nature, with items like a Trailering Camera Package – a detachable camera that can be mounted to any trailer to provide an additional, helpful live view through the truck’s infotainment screen – and an underseat storage organizer. There’s also a lockable center console storage box to protect your valuables inside the cabin, six-inch wheel-to-wheel assist steps in chrome that make ingress and egress a tad easier, and all-weather floor mats with Z71 badging.
And then, there are the more frivolous extras, which include things like 22-inch chrome-finish aluminum wheels, an illuminated black bowtie grille emblem, and a rear-seat entertainment system. An Embark Manual Retractable Tonneau Cover from Advantage is also installed – the one item on the truck that isn’t available through Chevrolet.
Interested in seeing the new concept in person? The Chevrolet Silverado LTZ will join three other Silverado concepts at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada running October 30th thru November 2nd, including:
- Silverado High Country Concept
- Silverado RST Off Road Concept
- Silverado RST Street Concept

This thing is bleeding chrome! A truculent truck.
22In wheels? A 5.3L engine? No towing mirrors?
Built to tow?!? This has to be a joke! Everyone knows that the 6.2 is much better for towing, and with a larger wheel diameter comes decreased payload equaling less towing.
This truck was built for people who have never towed before and want to screw up their truck.
JUST BUILD THEM ALL!!!!!
I like the truck..but a Sema concept? It looks stock. It’s also not a tow setup as mentioned.
