The 2019 Chevy Colorado gets three new exterior colors – Crush, Pacific Blue Metallic, and Shadow Gray Metallic. Last week, we showed you how Crush looks, and we now have photos of Shadow Gray Metallic.
Availability
Assigned color code GJI and touch-up paint code WA-626D, Shadow Gray Metallic does not have an upgrade fee, meaning that it is included in the price of any 2019 Chevy Colorado of your choosing. What’s more, the color is available in conjunction with both of the truck’s interior color combinations – Jet Black or Jet Black / Dark Ash.
Launch Timeframe
The first batches of Shadow Gray Metallic-coated 2019 Chevy Colorado units began arriving at U.S. dealerships from the GM Wentzville plant in the beginning of August, though we should note that availability varies by dealer.

About 2019 Colorado
The Chevy Colorado receives various updates and changes for the 2019 model year. On the outside, the 2019 Colorado gets three new colors, a new set of 18-inch wheels, black bowties for the Colorado ZR2.
Inside, the 2019 Colorado replaces the last-gen Chevy MyLink radios with the new and improved third-generation Chevrolet Infotainment Systems while adding a new port setup with one type-A and one type-C USB data port plus an SD Card reader on the front of the center console. A second in-cabin microphone is added for the passenger, and a standard HD Rear Vision Camera is added the LT, Z71 and ZR2 trims, replacing the regular-definition rear-view camera.
Moreover, the driver’s seat swaps its 4-way power and manual recline adjustments for a 6-way power seat on the LT, Z71 and ZR2 trim levels, Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist is added as an option on the WT and LT trims, as standard on the Z71 trim, and not available on the ZR2. Finally, a heated steering wheel is added as standard on the Z71 and ZR2 trims, and as an option on the LT trim.
We also expect Chevy to introduce a Colorado ZR2 Bison for the 2019 model year. Meanwhile, a midcycle refresh is likely in store for the 2020 model year; see more 2020 Chevy Colorado info.

I like the blue or gold bowtie on the front better.
One must see this color in person to really understand it. The photos and computer images just do not represent it.
Yet another grey or black shade. How about looking at the color palate and bringing out some more primary colors like Greens,, Blues or Yellows? Take a look at FCA’s color selections and the choices dwarf GM’s. This is an area where GM used to always excel, what happened.
Greens are not big movers and they try yellow but it never goes far. They also attract bugs.
The lack of blue does puzzle as it often sells.
In fact a friend is responsible for blue on the Camaro after years of pestering. Guess what it had become a top seller.
Not a huge fan of grey-coloured cars, but that is Niiiceee!
Seems like most of the GM grey colors have a green or blue tint to them. The 2018 graphite metallic had a green tint to it. The new 2019 shadow grey appears to have a blue tint to it. The current satin steel grey doesn’t have a tint to it, but it is too light IMO. I wish GM would offer a nice darker metallic GREY (no tint) like the Ford magnetic metallic on the Mustang. That grey is awesome especially in the sun. I also wish they would bring back that nice dark navy blue color they used to have on some of their older trucks.
I think if they tried a color matching 2015 Chrysler Jeep ‘Tank’ (PGK/NGK) it would look stunning on the ZR2. I also think the whole point of the ZR2 front end (approach angle clearance) is spoiled with the AEV Bison FER. The stock ZR2 looks and works better (for crawlers, anyway).
Looks an awful lot like Cyber Grey Metallic.
I own this vehicle and I get many compliments on its color.
