Hennessey Gives The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss Six-Wheel-Drive, Names It ‘Goliath’

The folks at Hennessey Performance Engineering never rest. The company has just added a second 6×6 truck to its portfolio of bonkers, extreme off-road vehicles, and this one is based on the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss.

“We are very excited to offer our new Goliath 6×6 alongside our Velociraptor 6×6, truck,” says Hennessey Performance Founder and CEO John Hennessey. “These are very exclusive and unique vehicles that make a huge statement anywhere our clients go – whether its Rodeo drive or the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.”

Like the Ford F-150 Raptor-based Velociraptor 6×6 before it, the new Goliath 6×6 rocks three driven axles for maximum off-road traction, with a custom box to accommodate all four rear wheels. The rear suspension has been completely redesigned around the truck’s extra axle, and it rolls on a set of six 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich off-road tires. The truck sits higher than the standard 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss on which its based, too, with a Hennessey eight-inch lift kit installed.

Of course, Hennessey Performance is never one to leave a factory vehicle’s powerplant untouched, and the all-new Goliath 6×6 is no different. The truck’s 6.2-liter V8 EcoTec3 L86 engine is fitted with a 2.9-liter supercharger system in this application, providing 7 psi of boost for peak output figures of 705 horsepower and 675 lb-ft of torque. Spent gases are expelled through a beautiful custom stainless-steel exhaust system.

Hennessey Performance says that even with the added weight of the extra axle and larger box, 0-to-60-mph times in the mid-4-second range are expected. That’s quicker than a lot of 80s supercars.

Unfortunately, all that performance doesn’t come cheap; the Hennessey Performance Goliath 6×6 will start at a whopping $375k, including the cost of the factory 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss donor, and additional upgrades can push the price up even further. For example, the Goliath will offer a Brembo brake upgrade, custom interior, and even an optional stroker motor upgrade that pushes peak output up to 808 horsepower – the same as a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon on pump gas. In addition, supplies are limited, as Hennessey only plans to build 24 examples of the bad-ass 6×6 truck.

But really, no need to rush; at nearly $400k a pop, we don’t suspect the new Hennessey Goliath 6×6 is about to sell out all that soon.

  4. “These are very exclusive and unique vehicles that make a huge statement anywhere our clients go – whether its Rodeo drive or the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.” … Does he know where the Sahara Desert is ? .. To save you some time, its basically most of the inland’s in the northern half of Africa. I don’t know if the Mercedes G 6×6, the F150 VelociRaptor or this have been or will ever go there any time soon with all the instability that’s going on there and have been for a long time. But anyways, I think he meant to say the ‘Empty Quarter’, which is the largest sand dune desert and largest contiguous sand desert in the world, located between Saudi, U.A.E (where Hammond drove the G 6×6), Oman and Yemen. And where probably most of their regional customers will be from.
