What seems like a peaceful day on Drummond Island, Michigan goes from 0 to 100 real quick in the newly released 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison promotional video. Co-developed with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), the all new off-road Colorado shows off what it’s capable of in the one minute thirty second video. From off-road activities like rock crawling, trail running, and mudding, the Bison looks ready for anything in its path.
The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison has a number of features that allow for it to face these off-road obstacles. Starting with the shoes it comes with ZR2 Bison-specific wheels which give the truck a rugged off-road look. Another distinguishable feature is the steel found in certain places giving the Bison a sturdy look and feel but also additional protection. Both the front and rear bumper are stamped steel that come with extra off-road features. The front has fog lights and an integrated winch system while the rear is built with recovery points for when mistakes are made. The steel doesn’t stop there.

Under the Bison you will find five hot-stamped boron steel skid plates. Which is clutch for the protection of vital components located under the truck. The last thing anyone wants is having rocks rip out undercarriage components while your miles out in the trails. Lastly, other design features on the Colorado ZR2 Bison are fender flares, the available AEV snorkel, and of course Bison badges. The video posted above highlights all the features discussed and shows them in action. We advise you check out the mayhem for yourself.
The Colorado ZR2 Bison in the video features the 2.8-liter LWN Duramax turbodiesel four-cylinder engine. Keep in mind that this is not the standard 3.6-liter LGZ V6 engine found in the vehicle but it will be an available option. Expect to see the ZR2 Bison arrive at dealerships in January 2019. We hope you are ready for your next adventure.
