As is the case for most new Chevy vehicles, the looks of the all-new 2019 Silverado are rather divisive, with some loving the design while others, not so much. But it will be hard to argue against the attractively-sinister looks of what we have for you today – some renderings of the 2019 Silverado Midnight Edition.
Notably, the 2019 Silverado launch is currently taking place in limited fashion, meaning that not all cab, bed, or powertrain configurations are currently available, which Chevy has already announced will change early next year. But one of the things that Chevrolet has yet to announce is a 2019 Silverado Midnight Edition package, which is why we set our artist to draw one up.
We gave the front fascia the black-out treatment, complete with a grille, Bow Tie, tow hooks and skid plate. A silver Z71 emblem sits ahead of the outside mirrors, which are – you guessed it – also black. The truck sits on a set of 18-inch black painted wheels.
The black-out treatment continues to the side, with a blacked-out window surround and black door handles.
At the rear, our rendition of the 2019 Silverado Midnight Edition features a set of darkened tips for the dual exhaust. Of course, the entire truck is finished in a sinister-looking black color.
The entire package comes together rather nicely, with the design of the new Silverado seemingly being made for the black-out treatment, especially those squinty LED headlights up front, the shape of the cab, as well as the debossed Chevrolet script out back.
So, will there be a Midnight Edition of the 2019 Silverado? We can say, almost with absolute certainty, that there will be. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised to see such a package offered on the 2020 Silverado. But until that day comes, enjoy our renderings above as well as photos of the last-generation Silverado Midnight Edition below.

That looks absolutely menacing. Make it available on a LTZ with the 6.2 and I’m sure this may be the hottest seller! I would prefer 22” black wheels imo.
Btw isn’t the front view of the truck with the 20” trail boss machined wheels and the rear view the 18” gloss black wheels
Good eye Eric 🙂 I was wondering is someone will notice.
We used the wheels from the LT Trail Boss for the front view and the Custom Trail Boss wheels for the rear angle.
You can already get this style of truck, we have a black trail boss sitting outside that looks just like this, change the tow hooks to black and you’re all set.
I guess your right. But I’d really prefer a blacked out truck without the lift, and those dark ended headlight housings really do add to the look.
No Scott… you’re not all set by changing out the tow hooks.
1. The exhaust will be black… not the case on the trail boss.
2. The grille here also seems to be blacked out.
3. The TB has a lift that rides too high for the street style of truck the Midnight Edition is. These awesome GMA photos lowered it a bit it seems.
It’s silly to tell customers to go and change all those things? There is a midnight edition for a reason and the trail boss ain’t it.
So basically an RST
Kind of. But midnight has always been a separate package, with more attitude than what’s offered by the new RST.
I imagine the midnight package on the 2019 Silverado to be based on the RST and maybe the LTZ… but with MOAR BLACK.
Black RST with black wheels. Or this case, a black trailboss, with black tow hooks and tinted lights.
I’d like to see a more distinct grille. Keep the twin bars but clean up the rest of the grill, try something similar to the 15 midnights as well as the 16+ midnight / Z71.
Not a fan of the all black. But if you have a chrome, chrome and more chrome edition I’ll be interested!
I’m sure GM isn’t done with the Silverado just yet. Maybe I’m just hoping, but I don’t think so.
Something tells me you’re right 🙂
There is much more to the Silverado to come since this is only the beginning of the new platform.
This platform was designed with more possibilities and variations.
As they say we ain
‘T seen nothing yet.
