The 2019 Chevy Colorado is the lucky recipient of three new exterior colors – Crush, Pacific Blue Metallic, and Shadow Gray Metallic. We’d argue that Crush – a bright orange hue – is the most exciting of the three, and we just got our hands on some photos of the new color.
Availability
Assigned color code G16 and touch-up paint code WA-413C, Crush is a $395 option on the 2019 Colorado. It is available in conjunction with both of the truck’s interior color combinations.
Launch Timeframe
We were told by our dealer sources that the very first units of Crush-coated Colorados are currently en route to dealerships from the GM Wentzville plant, and are expected to be on the ground in the next 14 days.

About 2019 Colorado
The Chevy Colorado receives various updates and changes for the 2019 model year. On the outside, the 2019 Colorado gets three new colors, a new set of 18-inch wheels, black bowties for the Colorado ZR2.
Inside, the 2019 Colorado replaces the last-gen Chevy MyLink radios with the new and improved third-generation Chevrolet Infotainment Systems while adding a new port setup with one type-A and one type-C USB data port plus an SD Card reader on the front of the center console. A second in-cabin microphone is added for the passenger, and a standard HD Rear Vision Camera is added the LT, Z71 and ZR2 trims, replacing the regular-definition rear-view camera.
Moreover, the driver’s seat swaps its 4-way power and manual recline adjustments for a 6-way power seat on the LT, Z71 and ZR2 trim levels, Ultrasonic Rear Park Assist is added as an option on the WT and LT trims, as standard on the Z71 trim, and not available on the ZR2. Finally, a heated steering wheel is added as standard on the Z71 and ZR2 trims, and as an option on the LT trim.
We also expect Chevy to introduce a Colorado ZR2 Bison for the 2019 model year. Meanwhile, a midcycle refresh is likely in store for the 2020 model year; see more 2020 Chevy Colorado info.

I wonder if there will be a facelift, and when. Or straight to redesign?
Last sentence in the About 2019 Colorado section 🙂
Next year refresh and redesign in 2023.
At least that is what is expected at this point.
Need a V8 (4.8/5.3) on the build list, so those of use who have the need, can do the nifty 6.2/7.0 swap, then I’m all in!
I want to rumble, and when I do, I’m in it to win it!
Turbo 4 will likely be added with the TriPower banner. There won’t be a V8, it doesn’t fit the image GM wants from its mid size trucks.. ie lifestyle trucks
Fits my lifestyle, “fastyle”. I don’t want any stinking turbos or blowers!
Naturally asperated for me, in a non-diesel truck anyway!
Clearly you are not the target market for these trucks. They are doing well without satisfying your single ultra niche “demand”, whatever it may be.
Speaking of which, the Silverado with the turbo four is faster than a Silverado with the 5.3 V8. So if you care about going fast, you would not get the V8.
“single ultra niche”? …ooh no, It’s not my niche and there would be plenty “demand” for a V8 Colorado if it were available. Most wouldn’t even consider the turbo 4 if (when) GM were to make it available. It also wouldn’t take much effort on GM’s part to put a V8 it the Colorado either. But they have to meet CAFE standards and after all, how many motors can the V8 factory build in one day?
I will say that the turbo 4 (L3B) appears superior to the 3.6L (LGX) where trucks are concerned. I myself do not care for the increase in complexity and maintenance forced induction brings. After all, the beauty of GM’s V8 is it’s ability to make power in a simple, compact package.
As far as not being the target market for these trucks, I drive a Colorado now, and it would have a V8 had it been on the build sheet when I bought it.
When it comes to your claim that the L3B is quicker then the 5.3, I’ll believe it when I see it!
5.3L = 355/383
L3B = 310/348
Also, the 5.3L is the “standard” “non niche” V8 in the full size truck.
The “niche” people, “who want to go fast” “demand” the 6.2L and GM “targets” them both. After all, Chevy is the performance division at GM isn’t it?
AKA Pumpkin Spice 😛
Aka orange crush defense by the Denver Broncos 🙂
Still no sunroof and still lacking features that the competition offers. I would probably have one in my driveway already if this were not the case.
And the competition has a weaker truck from an actual truck standpoint, one that bends and feels like a cheap Kmart toy. That’s the important part. The features currently lacking on the Colorado are also important… will probably come next year for the refresh.
Trickle down economics!
I have the 5.3 in my 09 and right now they see my tail lights, and so do most big trucks. That being said on the highway with 4:10s l don’t have the edge. These occurrences happen in Mexico….
I’m ready to modify my v8 and beat up some more trucks….tune, exhaust, throttle body, and airbox to start.
I’ve also thought about putting a 6.0 or 6.2 with the above mods with LT headers.
That’s what I was talking about above, it’s a lot easier (and cheaper) to swap out a stock motor for one with more muscle then to do a conversion!
Your truck came with 3:42s correct?
Is this that different from old “Hugger Orange”
The lack of color choices for interior is horrible. You want dark or darker.
