Every time our spy shooters have caught the 2020 Sierra HD in the past, the prototypes were running with fake placeholder lighting systems, which are functional but don’t provide us with any idea of the trucks’ final styling. But the 2020 Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD program has now progressed to the point of wearing production-spec headlights, which we caught managed to catch today running in a caravan on public roads, giving us our first look at the LED headlight signatures of GMC’s upcoming behemoth.
The model seen here is the Sierra 3500HD with a dual rear wheel setup. We can make out through the camouflage that the prototype’s LED headlight signature is a C-shaped arc outlining the outer edge of the headlight – similar to that of its smaller brother, the 2019 Sierra 1500.
There’s plenty more hidden behind the heavy camo, but at least we now know how one of the most defining features of GMC’s upcoming big boy will look like. Stay tuned as we uncover more secrets about the upcoming 2020 Sierra HD.

Looks like a larger rear axle than the current AAM 11.5. probably going to bigger brakes/stronger frame for a huge tow capacity.
How bout them tow mirrors??
Almost looks like they’re flip up mirrors like the RAM gets.
Good pick up, after looking more they look like slide outs, the black part looks like the mirror is pushed out all the way.
It doesn’t look like they flip….looks more like they slide out. They will retain the rearward led lights which is a positive
6.2 gas motor. Maybe 7.0?
The cover-up doesn’t really say too much about LED signature, but hopefully in detail, it’ll have a slightly different look than that of the 1500 once fully exposed.
It looks like the bed is getting a step in front of the dual wheels too.
