2019 Sierra Denali: Complete Photo Gallery

Boy do we have a gallery of the 2019 Sierra Denali for you today. The photos were taken during GMC’s media drive of the new Sierra in Newfoundland, and the setting is a breath-taking place to showcase the commanding and luxurious Sierra range-topper.

2019 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 - First Drive - Exterior 004 - front end

This 2019 Sierra Denali is coated in the Dark Sky Metallic color and equipped with the Denali Ultimate package, which includes the following features:

This model also features the new Adaptive Ride Control (which replaces MagneRide), the flexible new MultiPro tailgate (which can be replaced with a regular tailgate), and integrated exhaust – all standard on the 2019 Sierra Denali. Notably, the carbon fiber box (officially called CarbonPro) is not seen here, as it will become available later on in the 2019 model year.

The interior is finished in Jet Black materials with aluminum and wood accents and forge perforated leather-appointed seats. The front seats have heating and ventilating functionality while the rear outboard seats are heated. The 2019 Sierra does not offer ventilated rear seats on any model, including the Denali.

There’s also the Rear Camera Mirror, reconfigurable Multi-color 3″x7″ Head-Up Display, integrated storage bins embedded into the seatbacks of the rear seats, along with a rear console with HVAC units and two charge-only USB ports (one Type A and one Type C).

Also notice of the rotary knobs, which are wrapped in a shiny silver metal, giving them a particular detailing.

Under the hood of this 2019 Sierra Denali sits the refreshed 6.2L V8 L87 engine making 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The motor is part of the second-generation EcoTec3 engine family and features the Dynamic Fuel Management technology, which enables the engine to operate in 17 different patterns between 2 and 8 cylinders, depending on demand, to optimize power delivery and efficiency.

The motor is mated to the new GM 10-speed automatic transmission (RPO code MQB). The gearbox includes overdrive, tow/haul mode, Cruise Grade Braking and Powertrain Grade Braking. The powertrain also includes an active, 2-speed electronic Autotrac transfer case with rotary controls (only on 4WD models) along with a heavy-duty locking rear differential.

  1. I think this truck with the price tag needs more interior color options.
The light colors are great too and I am so tired of black interior that the Denali is not an option for me without the choices of interior colors.
I would be a buyer if the other choices were available.

  2. Looks nice.. One option that I would like is less chrome on the front. BLACK Grill with bright GMC halo surround with back ground lights.
Please more colors with the interior…please
Also two tone paint for the exterior..

  3. Mike,

I to think that there should be more interior color options, You can get different interior colors on a Sierra SLT, What gives? Also I don’t see a trailer mirror option for the truck, and the stock mirrors don’t seam to have the lane change arrow in the mirror glass like previous models did.

  4. The interior screams cheap. Even on the Denali, there is no trim on the dash except for bezels around the HVAC vents. The doors and console only have patches of trim, located so low that it’s easy to miss them. The whole passenger side of the dash is a sea of molded plastic. The seats are unremarkable. GM is back to cutting costs on interiors wherever possible. How does this mentality prevail??!

    1. Cheap? Are you an F150 owner? I respectfully disagree. I think the photos do a nice job. You can’t judge an interior until you sit inside any vehicle. How can you judge the seats before you sit in them? A sea of molded plastic? What do you want on the passenger side a pinball machine? Tell me you’re not a millennial.

      1. I’ve been in a 2019 Silverado High Country. The Denali differs only in minor details. The interior is much like most other Chevy, Buick and GMC products – nice touches; materials, detailing here and there, but it’s all lost in a sea of mediocrity. Ford at least includes trim to divide the upper and lower dashboard that coordinates with trim on the doors and console. GM skimps on trim to pinch pennies. Instead, tons of molded plastic is in the forefront.

The bottom of the center stack puts the unsightly connection ports/covers right in your face, not tactfully integrated. Look at how Ram does this. Look at the door panels on a Ram (various colors/ trims and materials) and compare to a Sierra/Silverado (minimal trim, a ton of black plastic). Same goes for the seats. If you can’t see and feel the differences and think GM has really nailed this interior, good for you. It looks like bean counters won again and the public and the press are noticing.

        1. I’ll concede GM truck interiors are more conservative. I’m guessing though their customers like it that way. The other companies do some things better. Although inside an F150 their plastic is much cheaper by touch and fit and finish is not as good as GM. Chevy got the High Country package later on because they wanted some of that Denali business. So you are right Denali isn’t going to be any different but neither is the price.
