Two highly anticipated new GM vehicles, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2019 GMC Sierra, began shipping out to dealerships this month.
The Detroit Free Press reported that the first Sierra models hitting dealerships are two of the most premium models: the 2019 Sierra Denali and Sierra SLT. A GMC spokesperson added the Sierra AT4 will launch next.
“Over 75 percent of the crew cabs we sell are Denali and SLT models, so we thought we’d roll that out first,” Kelly Wysocki, GMC spokeswoman, said.
GMC sold its very first 2019 Sierra Denali on August 9 at a Kansas-based dealership and more dealers report stock of the truck trickling in. As for the 2019 Silverado, it’s unclear where the first unit was sold. But, the truck starting shipping out to dealers at July 30, according to Chevrolet.
Like the GMC strategy, the first 2019 Silverados shipping out are the most-popular models: crew cab trucks fitted with a V8 engine.
Yep been following them up on Youtube, where a lot of dealerships are showing the new Silverados and Sierras. Damn the naysayers, these trucks really look good.
Saw them both last week when I took my car in for service. Made me want one (either one) even more!
I still cant figure out why TF we cant configure them online, yet we can go buy one… Thats annoying.
Was thinking the same thing – on the website still says “coming this fall”. Annoying
Probably cause they want to sell out all the 2018s first.
I went to Chevy.com chat now, and I asked when will build and price be Available for 2019 Silverado. They did not know when the site will be updated. Or when build and price will be available. Then they asked me my ZIP Code to see if they could find one near me. They found one 220 miles away. They asked if there were any special options I was interested in. So I said 2.7 L turbo engine. They did a nationwide search and could not find any Silverado‘s with this engine. I know it’s not in production yet. I think a Chevy employee should know this. reminds me of a sale person that does not know the product they are selling.
They aren’t taking any orders for them yet and only producing specific configurations. They don’t want people trying to build and search for a slew of options that aren’t in production just yet.
Beautiful trucks, but, the interior needs to be upgraded. It doesn’t compare to Ram interior.
You are right, because it is an actual truck interior. The materials on on par with Ram and others from reviews, so not sure the hate. For truck guys it is great and useful and has the materials the car guys who want trucks as an image such as yourself demand…
Order for my new High Country was accepted by GM over a month & a half ago & still can not find out any info on mfg. date or expected ship date.???
go to the Chevrolet website and go all the way down to the bottom and click on chat now. then click on the drop down menu and select checking status of vehicle and give them you order # and they will tell you the status.
Zach, all they can tell me is the order # ( WGBRHQ) has been accepted & that is it!! My dealer check daily. I have chatted with the chat line people twice & they can`t give me any info. They keep wanting to talk with my dealer.
Like to see more info on the GMC Sierra AT
There’s plenty of info on the AT4 on the GMC website. Haven’t seen any at dealerships yet, but Redline Reviews have a Sierra AT4 that they’re currently reviewing. I’m sure they’ll put more info and videos up soon.
These new trucks look amazing and I can’t wait to see them take over the truck market. Do you remember all the people who said the current trucks would not sell?
