2019 Blazer Is First Chevrolet Vehicle To Get Cargo Management System: Feature Spotlight

When it launches in early 2019, Chevy’s all-new 2019 Blazer will offer a Cargo Management System that allows owners to keep things tidy in the trunk.
Comprised of a rail system and a sliding fence that prevent cargo from moving about during travel, the Cargo Management System will be a standard feature on the RS and Premier models. It probably will not be available on lesser models (we say probably since the order guide for the new Blazer has not been released).
In addition to the Cargo Management System, the 2019 Blazer will also feature two other cargo organization attributes: cargo tie-downs as well as a retractable cargo cover/shade.
Notably, the 2019 Blazer will be the first-ever Chevrolet model to offer the Cargo Management System. However, the feature has been available on other GM vehicles including the second-generation Cadillac SRX, its successor – the Cadillac XT5, as well as the GMC Acadia (only on the Acadia All Terrain).
Check out the images below for a closer look at the Cargo Management System in the 2019 Blazer. Pardon the quality of some of the photos – as we took them during the model’s unveiling and the lighting quality was far from optimal.
About 2019 Blazer
Chevrolet re-introduced the Blazer name for the 2019 model year as an all-new crossover utility vehicle (CUV). Based on the regular wheelbase version of the GM C1 platform shared with the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5, the 2019 Blazer is a midsize crossover that slots between the compact Chevy Equinox and full-size Chevy Traverse.
The 2019 Blazer flaunts attention-grabbing design, seamlessly integrated customer-focused technologies and superb functionality, with the model range including the sporty Blazer RS and Blazer Premier trims. The new technology offered on the 2019 Blazer includes capless fuel fill, HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, the aforementioned Cargo Management system, and much more.

How about a third row option?! Removable!
3 row? How on earth would you fit a 3rd row in the blazer? If you want a 3 row then buy a transverse
For children, I bet you were one once?! 😉 *rolls eyes*
What does that have to do with picking the right vehicle? If you want a cuv with a 3 row then your choice is the tranverse
Says who?! I want the car with the styling that *I* like!
Then put up the money and make it yourself, like Musk did for the luxury electric market.
What’s a transverse?
CHEVROLET TRAVERSE
Is that better?
Much.
But on the topic of a third row in the Blazer: Chevy is at a competitive disadvantage here, and it’s concerning.
The market preference are midsize crossovers with a third row for occasional use. So when faced with a choice between a $28,000 (expected) Blazer with two rows and say a $26,000 Kia Sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe with three rows for occasional use… which do you think they pick? There’s also the GMC Acadia, but its market reach is limited.
Actually prefer the cargo space myself over a tiny almost useless 3rd row.
I have a Chevy Equinox and I will never change it for a cheaper import, even with a third row that I never use anyway!
One of the complaints I see regarding the third seat is it can’ t be deleted on models that have it. Most people do not need a third seat and in these smaller CUV’s there is no need. Look when driving and see how many people actually use the third seat. Those that really want it by a bigger SUV or a minivan.
Do you have any sense when the configurator will go live for the Blazer?
