The third-generation Chevrolet Camaro has long gone unloved with bargain prices. But, the cars are finally beginning to appreciate in value ever so slightly. And we think the cars are next in line for the pro-touring trend.
Level 7 Motorsports, then, is an early adopter. The company has completely restored and modified this 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 25th Anniversary car. The work seen here looks tremendous and hopefully gives reason for others to pay more attention to the third-gen Camaro.
According to the company, the car came to Level 7 after the owner spent time performing maintenance on the car. Eventually, he or she found rust, and Level 7 was brought in to inspect the situation. It was decided that the car would be ripped apart for a thorough restoration to the tune of pro-touring.
Finished, the 1992 Camaro Z/28 sports a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine married to a Bowler Performance T56 Magnum six-speed transmission. Elsewhere, Holley Performance has agreed to supply new third-generation parts to fit the crate engine.
Comment
3rd Gen “pro-touring” Camaros are nearly as common as drag focused ones. In fact, considering these cars are known to be good corner carvers, it’s little more than a swap of struts bushings and wheels with these.
No hate, just saying.
