Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) is back, and it has a 1,000-horsepower Corvette to share. This is the Yenko C7 Corvette, and anyone can now place an order from their Chevrolet dealer.
To make the Yenko Corvette come to life, SVE stroked the car’s 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine to displace 6.8 liters and installed a new supercharger. Why not the 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8? SVE decided to base the car on the 2019 C7 Corvette Grand Sport
Aside from the power bump, the Yenko Corvette also gains Magnetic Ride Control, performance calibrated stabilizer bars; limited slip differential, a dry sump oil system, 7-speed manual transmission with active rev match and wider rear fenders from the Corvette Z06. An eight-speed automatic is optional as are a number of other components from the Corvette Z06.
SVE didn’t provide additional details but said the car will also offer a newly optional heavy-duty automatic transmission.
Just 25 Yenko Corvettes will be produced boasting the 1,000-hp figure, and we imagine the order books will fill up rather quickly.
