There are plenty of sounds drivers want to hear from their classic cars. But, unwanted road noise can make a drive annoying and take away from the “good” noises.
Boom Mat has a solution in its new sound-deadening kits for first-generation F-body cars, which include the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. The kits are completely pre-cut and use D-Mat ultra-lightweight insulation and sound-absorber material. Additionally, two millimeter thick Boom Mat damping material further quiets things down.
The kits can also help control noise with aftermarket sound systems, but we’d more interested in hushing up unwanted road noise.
Four kits are available for the first-generation Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird: for cars with factory air conditioning, without factory a/c, convertibles with a/c, and convertibles without a/c. Additional kits are available for trunk, roof, and other areas prone to letting additional noise in.
