Chevrolet Once Again Tops Most-Seen Auto Ad Rankings

Chevrolet pushed its ad for a 4th of July sales event earlier this month and landed its place at the top of the most-seen auto ad rankings.

The data from iSpot.tv shows the latest Chevy ad, which invites people to see why the brand is “the most-awarded and fastest-growing brand in the last four years overall,” earned more than double the impressions over the second-place ad.

The ad spot earned 494,853,757 impressions and an attention score of 88.91. The attention score measures how often the ad was interrupted by actions such as changing the channel, opening up the TV guide or fast forwarding.

GMC and Buick also landed on the list in the most recent rankings. In third place was GMC’s “The Strength of an Ant” ad with 196,964,989 impressions and an attention score of 84.42. The spot focuses on the 2018 Terrain’s capability.

Buick rounded out the top five with its “Reasons” ad spot tallying 152,967,854 impressions and an attention score of 94.74.

  3. One reason might be is that there probably isn’t many 89 year olds to buy those things…

  4. I’d like to see the ads give more technical info that people would be interested in.
And I miss those ads with Howie Long in them!

    1. GM has very solid trucks these days, they should be highlighting the design and engineering of the trucks better. Tell us about the high strength steel bed or the 9.75″ rear axle. Tell us about IFS and its advantages. There are a lot of guys that think they know how GM’s fullsize trucks are put together that are completely wrong. One guy tried telling me that GM’s half-tons still use a torsion bar IFS and the rear axle is still the little old 10-bolt.
