We’re not sure why General Motors’ luxury brand created a grill iron, but it did. As part of Amazon’s Prime Day, Cadillac introduced its latest product, and it’s all about grilling.
Cadillac first teased the grill iron on Twitter yesterday before the deal went live on Amazon at 3 p.m. Eastern on July 16. Since then, the grill iron is completely sold out and the site says it’s unsure when more will be in stock if Cadillac continues to sell the accessory. Those who did score a Cadillac grill iron paid $100 to pre-order and received a $20 Amazon gift card to be credited back to the buyer.
For a brand that’s been focused on high-flying and deep advertisements, the grill iron sure seems like a marketing ploy from left field. Or a late April Fool’s Joke. Nevertheless, if you purchased one, do send us photos from your first barbeque with the Cadillac crest stamped into a burger creation. And if you’re in a select launch area, perhaps Amazon can deliver your package to your Cadillac directly via in-car delivery.

Why not before the 4th of July or even Memorial Day?
Talk about losing one’s appetite. What’s next, a return to vinyl tops and wire hubcaps?

OMFG, I just looked at Cadillac’s Twitter page. Go. Do the same. Then look at Mercedes’ Twitter page… Guess which one SCREAMS cheap cars for CHEAP people??? Holly sh*t Cadillac is completely brainless.
It was actually on sale $80 for prime members, so the total cost of ordering one was $1.20 after Cadillac gives you a $20 Amazon credit once it ships.
That is to say I paid $21.20 right now, and will get a $20 Amazon credit when it ships. So it literally was just sales tax.
While luxury companies like Audi and Lexus showcase their products in popular movies like Black Panther, Avengers … etc, and barrage advertisements during events like the Superbowl, Cadillac sells grill irons and posts 15-second clips on Youtube. Good work GM marketing team!
I thought it was for you to brand your Chevrolet so Cadillac wouldn’t even have to do that we could just do it ourselves. Ha Ha.
