Cadillac Presidential Limo Replica To Be Auctioned Off By RM Sotheby’s

RM Sotheby’s Auction House always has something interesting in their inventory. Most recently, what stood out to us was a 1999 Presidential Style Cadillac DeVille Limousine appropriately nicknamed “The Beast,” just like the current presidential limo.

A stately six-door Cadillac Limousine, built to resemble the Cadillac One utilized by the Clinton Administration. This bad boy is readily equipped to go full parade mode with removable flag masts and colored flashing “wig wag” headlights.

Inside you will find it very roomy. Featuring a division window, reversible rear facing seat, a hidden entertainment center, and a cocktail bar. The listing alleges that the limo is powered by an “OHV” V8, but the 1999 DeVille packed a 4.6L DOHC 32-valve Northstar V8, with 275 hp under the hood at the time, which mirrors the displacement and output of the listing. In any case, the listing also says that power delivered to the wheels by a 4-speed automatic transmission, which the 1999 DeVille originally featured from the factory. The odometer clocks 65,584 miles.

A part of The Calumet Collection, this unique presidential limousine replica will be auctioned off this fall at the RM Sotheby’s auction happening in Auburn. Just think how awesome of a party host you would be in your friend’s eyes if you owned  this. You’d just need somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000, which is what the Cadillac limo is expected to go for.

  1. This is probably one of the “Presidential limos” used during the filming of “In the Line of Duty” that I was present during my visit in Washington, DC. I did appear as one of the faces in the background of the film. Everyone on the street thought that it was the real President in the limo. Later, the local news explained what was really happening.

  3. “Replica” HAHA…..yeah ok.

Thats a 24 hour funeral/fun limo with commercial glass, probably Superior/Accubuilt you could opt for commercial glass on their limos and hearses, it gave you that same high roof big glass look like the Presidential limos, these are what is called a “24 Hour” car in the limo business, the center seat reverses and the bar and TV tuck into the center invisible” door for funeral use during the day time and they your can flip the seat around and pop out the bar and TV and you can party. Hence 24 hour car, but the time its done from last nights party, it ready to go back to funeral use in the day time.

I’ll add, that Clintons limo was nothing like this since it was based on the 1993 RWD Fleetwood, Bush’s limo wasn’t one these either, it was based on the new 2000 DeVille, though it was on a RWD truck frame underneath from what I read about it.

So this is just fake garbage.

  4. I’m with MrR, you can buy these funeral limo’s all day long, exactly like this Accubuilt limo, for less than $5000.00. This car was built exclusively to be used in funeral service and shouldn’t be represented as anything more than that. Historically, Hess and Eisenhardt built the president’s limousines. They sold off the funeral car division to Accubuilt, which currently is the industry leader in funeral car manufacturing. Carl Werner of C.W. Coach in Cincinnati offers limousines of this era, design, including presidential top cars and standard 6 doors for sale all priced well below Sotheby’s expected range for the car they are advertising. Buyer Beware!
