Another major automotive event, another classic car stolen. This time, a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen in from Columbus, Ohio, while owner Jim Kirkpatrick was attending the annual Good Guys Show.
Kirkpatrick said the car was parked at Comfort Suites, and when he looked out of his window, the Camaro was gone, WDNT reported on Wednesday.
“You could see where they had popped the ignition, the chrome ring around the ignition, had popped it off and it was just laying right there where the car was,” he said.
A second car was also stolen from the hotel that was parked near the Camaro; a 1969 Chevelle was taken as well. Kirkpatrick said it’d only been four or five hours since he last checked on the car.
The owner added he’s spent around $35,000 restoring the car and putting personal touches into the build. Thankfully, the car is fully insured, but Kirkpatrick is offering a $500 reward to anyone with information about the car.

I hope they find the thieves and remove both hands at the wrist, using a circular saw.
Such a disgusting display. 🙁
I thought America was much, much, better than Saudi Arabia.
Simmer down, Commandant. We’ll just round up all of the convicted, Grand Theft Auto scum and set them up with bedrooms at your house.
This is why u can never have anything nice. There are so many ppl out there that will steal anything or the other ppl that could not careless about cars and just open their doors and bump into them like it was an old beater.
I do fear those tilt bed tow trucks, with winch, which can tilt and drag away anything.
Good chance the Camaro and Chevelle are already overseas.
The Wild West out there. A rope and a tree for stealing a horse, we need to give this same justice to car thieves! I am so tired of people taking from those of us who work hard for what we have. I do not want anything from anyone, just want to keep what is mine, this is why my heart breaks for this Camaro owner, so sorry for your loss.
