General Motors Hiring Dozens Of Temp Workers At Flint Manufacturing Plant

General Motors seeks new employees at its Flint, Michigan, plant. The automaker is looking for 75 new temporary, part-time employees.

According to MLive, those interested can submit applications until August 1. GM plans to shut down the Flint facility, which builds Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra HD models, in July for upgrades to the plant’s equipment.

Candidates must be able to work one to three days a week, and Saturday shifts will be mandatory. Pay will start at $15.78 per hour, and holiday pay and health care options will open up after 90 days of employment.

Additional temporary positions may open up later this year, a GM spokesperson told the publication.
