Cars In Corktown To Feature Corvette C6.R Racer This Weekend

Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood occasionally plays host to Autoweek’s “Cars in Corktown,” but this coming weekend will be a very special event.

The event’s Facebook page announced that on June 16, the featured cars will be race cars and recognizable race cars from each of Detroit’s major automakers will be present. Attendees will get a chance to see a Corvette C6.R from Chevrolet, along with the Le Mans-winning 1998 Dodge Viper racer and a 2015 Ford GT race car.

According to the event page, other race cars will also be on display. Perhaps some attendees will also partake in the event’s theme, but as usual, all types of cars are welcome to the event.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided, but Corktown also plays host to numerous restaurants to check out as well.

The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., but the party goes on at Eastern Market after 4 p.m. Check out more information at the link right here.

  1. Please note that Cars in Corktown is NOT a weekly event. The upcoming Le Mans themed Cars in Corktown is a single scheduled event, with others TBA later this summer.
