On Friday, Chevrolet shared pricing details for the 2019 Silverado. And the brand is particularly proud of the fact the 2019 Silverado LT is less expensive than the previous model.
The volume-selling Silverado LT will start at $38,395 for a double cab/long bed configuration, which reflects a price decrease of $700. The price drop comes despite new features and the truck’s new 2.7-liter L3B turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The LT model also adds an eight-speed automatic, stop-start technology and active aero shutters for greater fuel efficiency.
Opting for the crew cab model and short bed bumps the price to $40,795. All prices reflect two-wheel drive models, however, so expect the price to climb further for any Silverado LT 4×4 model.
The pricing announcement also does not include option costs, such as pricing for 5.3-liter V8-powered Silverado LTs. The 2.7-liter turbo-four will come standard with the LT and RST trucks.
