SAIC-General Motors-Wuling revealed the new Baojun 360 MPV for China at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, and presales have officially begun.
The joint-venture partners worked to create a spacious and economical multi-purpose vehicle for Chinese consumers. Thus, the Baojun 360 boasts a 2-2-2 seating configuration that offers independent seats for all passengers. With the second and third rows folded down, the MPV offers nearly 48 cubic feet of storage.
“The Baojun 360 is a versatile vehicle for today’s families,” said SAIC-GM-Wuling Executive Vice President Mike Devereux. “With its six seats, couples can go out with two kids and two grandparents, which is becoming more and more common in China. They can also count on the Baojun 360 to carry everything from tents and fishing rods to larger items such as musical instruments.”
Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that buyers may pair with a manual or automatic transmission. Baojun did not release fuel economy or performance specifications with the vehicle’s debut. The new MPV will start at RMB 60,000 ($9,700 USD) and top out at just RMB 80,000 ($12,500 USD).
Looks like a crossover. Kinda like a Dodge Journey but with Chevy headlights.
Looks like something from 2000-2002 era.
It’s ugly but it’s cheap. GM-SAIC will probably sell thousands of them.
