GM Expands Military Discount To Three Years After Discharge

Ahead of a long weekend for Americans, General Motors has announced it will extend its military discount to three years following discharge from the U.S. military.
All four GM brands, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac, will honor the three-year-long extension for active duty, reserve members and military retired from the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard.
Military personnel along with his or her immediate family members qualify for a special discount on new vehicles at participating dealers. Additional information on the discount can be found at www.gmmilitarydiscount.com and at participating dealerships.
“Supporting service members and their families is truly part of our fabric at GM,” said Steve Hill, vice president, U.S. Sales, Service and Marketing. “Extending the discount to three years post-service allows military families to settle back into civilian life and take the time they need before purchasing a new vehicle.”

I think GM should offer the discount to any honorably discharged Veteran…regardless of how much time has elapsed since separation from service.

Well if the discount was only for active duty personnel your comment would be relevant. Since it is good for anyone within three years of discharge, why not for anyone who has served regardless the discharge date?
