It’s America versus Germany in a track-time shootout, courtesy of German publication Auto Bild. In a new sports car track battle, the publication pitted the 2018 C7 Corvette Grand Sport against the BMW M4 CS to see which manner of sports car came out on top.
Both cars did their work at Sachsenring, a track situated in Saxony, Germany. The course stretches 3 miles long and is best known for motorcycle racing.
Back to the cars: the BMW manages a quick lap of 1:34.63 after racing its way through some pretty tight corners and two long straights. But, the Corvette Grand Sport prevails. The American brute clocks at 1:31.98 after the sports car makes its way around the circuit.
And that’s that. The Corvette walks away the winner of this track battle. Check out the times for yourself right up above.

Current Grand Sport pricing versus M4 CS pricing??
I hope this article continues to remove the “German is better” mindstate of many who want to buy the best sportscar. GM still does it better. But a hybrid/EREV Corvette “Electric Ray” would kill ALL the foreign sportscars!
