AEV Releases Handful Of Chevrolet Colorado Parts

While we await news on the rumored Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) has released a new snorkel kit and beadlock wheels for the off-road pickup.

AEV revealed the aftermarket parts at the 2018 Overland Expo on Friday and it marks the first time the company will launch parts for a Chevrolet vehicle.

The snorkel kit isn’t meant for only the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 but can be installed to any variant of the truck featuring the 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, or 3.6-liter V6 engine. AEV said the snorkel kit draws on industrial and military applications and draws the cleanest and coolest air available. Even better: the kit installs directly to the factory airbox and offers an available self-cleaning pre-filter.

The AEV Crestone DualSport Beadlock wheels, meanwhile, sport heat-treated A356 T6 cast aluminum construction for maximum strength at minimal weight. Drivers can also customize the wheel in three ways: a fully-functional Beadlock Ring for running very low tire pressure off-road, a Protection Ring designed for street use and protection off-road, or no ring for a simpler look.

The snorkel kit is available now, and the Crestone wheel will launch this July.

  1. The Overland Expo would have been a good place to reveal the Bison.
