The refreshed 2019 Chevrolet Camaro has caused quite a split within the community. Some dig the looks, while others believe the nameplate has taken two steps backward. Those who don’t care for the 2019 Camaro surely won’t approve of the 2019 Camaro ZL1, either.
Camaro6 forum user “mlee” posted photos of the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 completely undisguised. In fact, the photos show a handful of ZL1 models on a carrier truck somewhere in Las Vegas, Nevada.

While the front fascia changes appear minimal, the rear end gets the same bumper and taillight treatment found on the standard 2019 Camaro. It also appears that the sports car is in for some changes to the rear spoiler. We spot high-rise and low-rise spoilers tacked onto the car’s rear end.

We don’t know much else about the changes that could come to the 2019 Camaro ZL1 or the more extreme Camaro ZL1 1LE. Thus far, Chevrolet has only detailed the rather minor changes to the 2019 Camaro. Aside from the new looks, the car’s mechanicals and features go largely unchanged.
Be sure to stay tuned for any new information surrounding the 2019 Camaro ZL1 and other changes to the high-performance pony car.

So the High Rise spoilers are LE’s…
The ZL1 1LE on that trailer has a shorter wing than the current ones.
The good news is those wanting a MY18 will probably easily get a great deal…
…but they won’t therefore get the new rear view streaming camera mirror, which is a must have for visibility.
Who’s driving…Helen Keller?
Enjoy not being 100% certain and confident with your maneuvers. I’ll take the 300% wider and unobstructed field of vision as an advantage.
What Is This Small Black Circle On The Roof Of The Mid-Engine Corvette?

Honestly, I think the new rear end goes way better on the ZL1. The new tail lights in combination with the aggressive ZL1 front end really gives a supercar vibe.
This means no big wing like the one used by the C7 Corvette ZR1 or more aggressive air intakes to provide air for the engine or front brakes.
The big news is they didn’t mess with the front-end like the Camaro SS! Folks can breathe a sigh of relief…
I don’t think anyone really had an issue with the rear. The rear is a dead even change as far as looks. Not better or worse, just different. The 2019 front on the other hand…..
That said, the ZL1 has maintained it’s original bumper since the 5th gen. I’m glad that tradition has remained for the 6th gen.
Yep, Chevrolet has said that is due to the fact it was developed specifically for aero, so they’re not going to change it.
A decision I approve of.
So what that means is I just “have” to buy a 2019 ZL1 instead of an SS. Not the worst problem in the world, other than the whole “it’s expensive” part.
