A new report suggests the refreshed 2019 Chevy Camaro and its updated fascia will make its way to NASCAR. Specifically, the XFINITY series variant may see the new look.
The information comes from an anonymous source reported by Kickin’ The Tires. The source said Chevrolet already had an updated 2019 Camaro NASCAR racer at the research and development center, and it’s more of a “when” not “if” the change happens.
The XFINITY series was first to receive the Chevrolet Camaro, but the brand replaced the out-of-production Chevrolet SS NASCAR racer with the Camaro ZL1 last year for the Cup series. So far, a Camaro racer has only placed first at the Daytona 500 this season.
Chevrolet revealed the updated 2019 Camaro SS last Monday with a divisive new front fascia. The look features a larger grille opening with a blacked-out bumper piece splitting the grille.

Well duh. I bet they’ll be a lot faster on the big tracks, too. The new facia is rounded off for less drag, and that new shape will carry over to the Xfinity cars. The Cup cars will only receive a new rear bumper, and the bumper’s design might help make the rear more stable at high speeds. The truck series should be getting the new silverado, too. That’s going to provide a huge advantage to the Chevy truck teams.
The 2019 refresh looks like the 2018 Camaro had a baby with a Kia Soul… and it’s downright fugly.
Camaro and a Kia soul having a baby. This kind of thing would never happen if they kept the alcohol out of fuel.
It’s all just stickers with tiny indents.
after the design of the NASCAR Camaro was complete NASCAR changed the front splitter design and this messed up the aero downforce on the front
