First 2019 Silverado Pictures In The Wild: Photo Gallery

It’s one thing to see an all-new vehicle in photos taken within the comfort of a studio or an auto show that’s specifically configured to make the vehicle look picture-perfect, but it’s totally different to see said vehicle in person. Yet in those cases where seeing a vehicle in person is simply not an option, the second-best thing is to see it in pictures taken in a real-world environment – and that’s exactly what we have when it comes to the all-new 2019 Silverado 1500.

Chevy’s all-new truck was photographed during the Chevrolet national dealer meeting, which took place at the beginning of April in Las Vegas. The multi-day conference saw the reveal of a bevy of refreshed Chevy models such as the 2019 Camaro, 2019 Malibu, 2019 Cruze and 2019 Spark, but that, arguably, wasn’t the centerpiece of the event. Rather, the highlight was the part when dealers and invitees got up close an personal with the all-new 2019 Silverado, not only exploring it inside and out, but also driving it at the track.

We have the photos from the event, and they confirm what many believed all along: despite some negative reactions during its initial reveal event last year, the 2019 Silverado 1500 is one good-looking truck. So peruse the photos at your leisure below – and tell us what you think in the comments section.

A big hat tip to our dealer friends who sent us these 2019 Silverado pictures.

Once you’ve looked through these photos, have a gander through real-world photos of the 2019 GMC Sierra at the following link: 2019 GMC Sierra pictures.

  2. Looks a lot better hopefully the camaro will be just as relieving once seen outside

  3. The front end still seems very awkward to me. But I’m sure it needs to be seen in person.

    1. For me and many others it’s the trojan helmet/mutton chops look from the front fenders dropping down into the bumper cut out area where they stuck in the big air scoops. The whole thing looks like a mess and very cartoonish… Those things are going to get packed with snow, mud and ice. There’s photoshopped pictures out there where the bumper is complete and the fenders don’t drop all the way down into it and no massive goofy air scoops. It totally changes the Silverado’s front end from a 3 or 4 at best to a perfect 10.

The rest of the truck looks gorgeous! It just suffers from the same current tacky front end treatments Chevrolet seems insistent on ruining their vehicles with. I can’t wait for the MCE.

      1. Why would you care if those air inlets get filled with snow and ice? It’s not as though they’re acting as air inlets for cooling or anything. They’re just there for aerodynamics, which is almost entirely irrelevant in the winter time when people remote start their vehicle and let it idle 5 to 10 minutes anyways. Also, 95% of new trucks sold today will never see conditions that result in mud covering the front of the truck while in the possession of the original buyer. It’s really just complaining just to complain. Non-issue here.

        1. Finally a guy that get it! People complain for the purpose of complaining! They are and never will be happy with anything in their life or this world for that matter

  4. No engine size fender badging on these. Wonder if thebstll to be announced engine is hidden inside.

  5. I really like the all red one…. looks sharp I really prefer no emblems on the side looks much cleaner the Silverado badge up high looks distracting to me.

  6. I think the truck looks pretty good in the wild, and most people will get used to the new looks. With the right trim, it can look great. The front end is a bit strange- reminds me of the old Rockem Sockem Robots.

  7. I wonder if there will be a regular cab short bed LT 2019….I have yet to see anything but a work truck.

  8. 6.2 in a shortbed 2wd

  9. I’m sorry but whomever is responsible for that front clip has no business designing vehicles.

The pic of the silver one with the chrome bumper is just about the most awful thing I’ve seen car design wise … it makes the Titan front end look good by comparison.

    1. What your saying it looks about as horrible as the picture we see of you in your comment with the color shades?
      That truck looks Awesome!

    2. And what do you do for a living? You think you could do better? I think you would find out that it’s much harder then any of us realize.

I bet you dont even work in the automotive business!

      1. Yes it’s a hard job. Congrats to those GM designers for getting so well paid to do it. They are not volunteers, they are paid to perform. Seems like the Dodge designers performed better this time. I’m not a design expert not am I paid to be one.

I am well qualified to be a customer though, so my opinion counts regardless of Brian’s red herring. I bet you don’t even plan to buy a 2019 truck Brian!

        1. No kidding, a consumer is the expert on what they like!

        2. The Dodge / Fiat front looks like it belongs on a crossover. This actually looks good and like a truck.

          Reply
        3. The 2019 Ram exterior looks terrible. The second they removed the famous crosshair grille, the truck became a trainwreck.

    3. I’ve seen this truck in person, the silver LTZ and it’s dark and away the best looking truck that will be on the market. The Ford looks cheap, especially with it’s wavy body panels and the Ram looks like a crossover version of the current truck with a gawdy overdone interior.

Chevy knocked it out of the park with these trucks.

  15. I love the new Silveraldo, to me it kinda looks like it got the front lights from the Suburban. But overall I love it!!

  16. I really think those crazy looking air curtains were a huge misstep in the design. It’s very polarizing and will probably drive a lot of customers away. I don’t hate the way the front end looks, but I probably wouldn’t buy one because there’s just some angles that the air curtains look weird from. It’s a shame too, because the front end would look amazing without them.

    1. The good news about the front end is that it looks like that front perfectly straight corner piece of the front fender is a small part and it and the bumper could be changed out in a new model year by GM if these trucks don’t sell well because of the polarizing front end.

  17. It will take a moment for a lot of individuals to get used to the new front-end styling, though there were many who probably expected for Chevy to take a more evolutionary approach to the redesigned Silverado like it has been done in the past, it took a while for me to get fixated on the new look also, but I welcome it, as we prepare to cross into the 2020 decade this truck will have to take on new design approaches and not always be conservative in doing so in its efforts to stay competitive. I will be getting my 2019 Silverado by May of 2019.

  18. Is the designer of the front clip the same one that designed the 2019 Camaro front end?

  19. Looks better off stage?…Nope…Still ugly.

  20. The one in dark red with the body colored bumper is the best looking one yet IMO, still not the biggest fan of the black bow tie though.

Is it still 100 percent true that GM will keep the current gen in production alongside the next gen? if so will this also be true for the HD’s?

  21. As previously posted, that all chrome grill and bumper is gaudy, tacky, and fugly. Body color looks good.

  22. I’m not a fan of the grill either on hardly any of the trims. A lot going on there. It’s seems like a lot of designers are going full Decepticon these days (see new RAV4). That said, I’m really stoked on the rest of the design and plan to pick one up. I was waiting for the ‘14 design but wasn’t a fan. Decided to buy a ‘13 Sierra All Terrain instead. That’s paid off and is fast becoming an off road/beach beater. Might go 2WD in RST trim if it’s cool. I’m hoping for better MPG than my ‘13 which is killing me at 14.5 (but better than my ‘02 which was getting 11 when I traded up).

  23. Any more photos of the all black truck?

  24. I think it looks better on the street than it does on the auto show stage, but as someone who likes a clean vehicle, I feel that those gills on the sides will fill with bugs after driving on the highway and be very difficult to wash.

    Reply
    1. Why would I care if it’s hard to clean? That problem is for the people who work down at the car wash!

  25. Looks like a Tundra, front end is awful, but that black Trail Boss……………………………….

    1. I thought it looks closer like a TuRD Taco. Especially the front fenders and the shape of the side glass on the rear door. Tailgate has some Toyota vibes too.

  26. I miss the old style blue colored bow ties. And the Centennial bow tie looked real sharp! I wish they would make that an option!

  27. I like them overall but think they went a little overboard on the front end chrome

  28. The front upper fender looks terrible. The Sierra looks so much better.
