For three straight weeks, Chevrolet has topped the most-seen auto advertisement ranks, according to WardsAuto and data from iSpot.tv. The particular ad is the “Switch to a new Chevy” spot, which promotes incentives and deals on the 2018 Chevrolet Malibu. In the week prior, Chevy focused on the 2018 Cruze.
The ad simply shows new Chevrolet owners and explains that trying something different can be “exhilarating.” Scenes of new owners with new Chevy models such as the Equinox, Bolt EV, Volt, Silverado, Malibu and more fill the spot over a voiceover.
Chevy’s ad has garnered 364,883,708 impressions and an attention index of 68, still fairly high. The attention index measures view interruptions. If the viewer changes the channel, pulling up the TV guide, fast-forwards or other various actions, the score drops.
Land Rover, BMW, Hyundai and Subaru rounded out the top-five ads for the week of March 19-25.

Being seen is only part of the deal.
Being effective is the real key.
These ads work. The dorky Chevy guy is gone. I have no idea if those people are actors or the real owners — but that’s the point. They look and FEEL real.
George Carlin once asked, “What? Are you going to eat at Wendy’s the rest of our life? Take a expletiv-ing chance.” I took this chance with Buick and am so happy I did.
