We truly wish the C6 Corvette ZR1 in the video was stock for a real comparison, but it’s still fun to see the old ZR1 face off against the brand-new 2019 C7 Corvette ZR1.
In the video, the owner of the new ZR1 ends up facing the previous-generation car face to face at the drag strip, but we won’t even toy around. The C6 Corvette ZR1 gaps the new car. We know from the video that the previous-generation ZR1 is running an 880 wheel horsepower tune, which by far exceeds the C7 ZR1’s 755 hp at the crank.
When the two Corvettes cross the line at the end of the quarter mile, the numbers don’t lie. The C6 ZR1 clips off a 10.16 at 148 mph, while the C7 ZR1 manages a respectable 11.52 at 123 mph.

11.5 is not respectable. Where was this? Bandemere? A properly hammered C7 ZR1 be showing stock 10s on a forum near you in due time. 11.5 is a cam/converter 4th Gen Fbody with less than 500 crank hp.
