Genovation was a star of the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, where it debuted the GXE supercar, based on the Chevrolet C7 Corvette. Though, the Corvette and GXE differ vastly—the GXE makes 800 horsepower from electric motors and batteries.
The purely electric supercar will go 175 miles before needing to recharge, and the 800 hp can even be shifted via a seven-speed manual transmission. That fact makes the GXE the only electric car with a manual gearbox. An eight-speed automatic is optional.
The video above shows the Genovation team building the GXE in just 17 seconds in an ultra-quick time-lapse video, though a large chunk of it shows the team struggling with the hood attachment. Still, it’s neat to see the supercar come to life.
Genovation hopes begin deliveries of the car later this year and plans to build just 75 of them. The price? A cool $750,000.

How long do you think it would take a car like this to go from 750k to a realistic 130k?
