The folks at the BBC’s “Top Gear” have claimed a rather peculiar Guinness World Record: the Stig piloted a 500-horsepower tractor to claim the title of world’s fastest tractor.
The farming machine, called the Track-tor, clocked a top speed of 87.2 mph, which outdid the previous 80.7 mph record. Powering the track-tor is a 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 engine, according to “Top Gear,” though it did not provide any other mechanical specifications. Aside from the Chevy V8 engine, the machine features four-wheel disc brakes, adjustable air suspension, and massive 54-inch tires.
The tractor’s exterior color is a Lamborghini-inspired orange, and its head and taillights come from an Ariel Atom. It’s the supercar of tractors. no doubt.

IFS on a tractor, what for? Better handling in the pasture? LOL!
front suspension and rear axle are also from a Chevy.. a van or pick-up
GM used to provide Detroit Diesels for Oliver farm tractors back in the day, 2-stroke engines in the 60s.
difference being those ones wouldn’t set any speed records, just heavy duty loud engines.
87.2 miles an hour is not a world record for a tractor. There are a lot of tractors they can go faster then that. You can see them on any Interstate highway pulling a 60,000 pound trailer.
I am all for going faster but this is a waste of time and money! This is what happens when you have to much time and money in the bank!
