Thieves outside of Detroit, Michigan, stole a Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana each full of police uniforms meant for a local dry cleaner, CBS news affiliate WWJ reported last Friday.
Police quickly calmed fears of impersonations and said the uniforms did not include badges, weapons or other gear. In fact, uniforms from the Farmington Hills Police Department were located after the thieves apparently dumped them on the road. A batch of uniforms from the Novi Police Department hasn’t been recovered, however.
The thieves have not been found as of this report and police urge anyone with information to contact authorities. The license plates for the Express and Savana read “CE 82871,” and “DB 46109.”

They should all be fired. If they can’t protect their own clothes how are they going to protect the public.
This is a excellent example of fake news reporting. One the crime occurred in Detroit where the cleaners is located. The cleaners is a contractor to a suburban police department to clean uniforms. The thieves were not interested in the uniforms and dumped them after stealing the two vans. The vans were taken for another purpose smash and grab. A week later, the one van was used to smash in a Detroit liquor store where it smashed down the steal door and wall. The other van was loaded with prime liquor and cigarettes. And the gang got away in the other van with the loot. Welcome to Detroit for the real story.
Fox News is a better example.
