Cadillac drivers with a Spotify account will be able to access the music-streaming service with zero hassle. The company announced on Wednesday that the application will integrate directly with the Cadillac infotainment system for new and existing models.
Long story short, drivers won’t have to connect their phone or other devices via Bluetooth or a cord. The integrated 4G LTEÂ connection will stream music directly through the car after a driver logs into their Spotify Premium account. After that, the app works much like the mobile application.
Users will see five screen icons at the top of the home screen to assist customers navigating content: Home, Recently Played, Library, Browse and Mini Player. Where the app differs in Cadillac vehicles is the addition of recommendations geared towards driving. The app will recommend content for road trips, a daily commute to work and songs perfect for shouting along to with friends or family.
Even better: Spotify will work effortlessly with the vehicle’s presets/favorites, allowing users to set Spotify playlists or artists as preset stations and seamlessly switch between Spotify and other music playback options, such as FM radio.
The Spotify app is available now for the XTS, CTS, ATS, CTS-V and ATS-V, and will soon arrive with the 2019 Cadillac CT6 and other vehicles in the near future.

This would be game changer for me.
This might seem like not a big deal but, this is a great step forward for gm. Maybe this will be on a update for the new T1 truck platform next year
Garbage on top of garbage. Get rid of the CUE system.
I dare you to use CUE 3.0 and tell me it’s garbage.
Then I dare you to use CUE 3.0 with the upcoming tactile controls in the 2019 CT6 and XT4… and tell me it’s garbage.
I’ll be here when you realize you’re woefully incorrect.t
What version of CUE does the Escalade currently uses? No spotify for this vehicle?
I commend Caddy for continually adding compelling content, hopefully GM doesn’t create 30 second commercial claiming you should buy a Caddy over a BMW/MB because of Spotify integration…
