Next-Gen 2020 Silverado 3500HD Dually Crew Cab Spied Looking Large

Behold these spy photos of the 2020 Silverado HD. Seen here in 3500HD Crew Cab, Long Bed form guise in the Dual Rear Wheel (aka Dually) configuration, the truck is simply massive. Seriously, we can’t get over just how big it is. Its impressive size is amplified even further by what looks to be a larger grille compared to the current K2 platform models.

The next-gen Silverado HD will adopt the T1 platform and styling of the smaller 2019 Silverado 1500. The trucks are expected to wear a variant of the bold face of the new Silverado half-ton while adopting its various usability and convenience improvements, such as a more aerodynamic cab, a more space-efficient and stronger bed, significantly lighter weight, improved CornerStep bumpers and more.

The 6.6L Duramax L5P diesel engine, introduced for the 2017 model year Silverado HD, will carry over. In addition, a new gasoline engine is expected to replace the archaic 6.0L L96 V-8.

The 2020 Silverado HD family is expected to launch in the 2019 calendar year as 2020 model year vehicles.

  2. Any word on what the new gas engine might be? Any other new info on the truck? 2020 HD gonna have the same interior as the 1/2 ton 2019 trucks?

Are the HD’s gonna come with off road trim like the Chevy Trail Bos and (I assume) all terrain package on the GMC unless they call it something else. Cause if you look @GMC website you can see 4 different pictures of the SLT/Denali and 2 of them have bigger tires etc on them like the trail boss

  5. Will GM ever offer a HD 1/2 ton version like they use to?

  6. Cadillac needs of version of this. Why? Because a $100K + price for a stock factory pick up truck is just a matter of minutes away. Do it before Mercedes or Lincoln dose. Let GMC continue with the Denali, but have Cadillac be the flagship. All air ride suspension, 4 corner air ride cab, a better than CT6 interior. The possibilities are endless. Just do it.

  7. People who buy Cadillacs don’t do anything that works this hard! Leave it for Chevy and GMC

    1. But they do haul horse trailers to the polo grounds. All I’m saying is be ahead of the game for once. And by the way, Plumbers and tradesmen that own Sprinters hang out in the same service waiting area as owners of S class and AMG sedans do. Mercedes already builds a pick up, just a matter of time before they decide to offer it in this market.

      1. Mercedes offers a midsize pickup not fullsize

        1. True, but they have a pick up regardless. With Daimlers vast resources they could build a pick up for NA standing on their heads. Just wishful thinking on my part but it would be cool if Cadillac
played in this segment. The Escalade EXT worked pretty well for Cadillac when it was around.

  8. I really hope they up the tire size in the srw models. Something like the competition’s 275/65/20 or 285/60/20. The smaller tires really take away from the appearance.
