Recently, a company by the name of Tech9 Auto Armor made a splash with its latest product announcement: a widebody kit for the Holden VF Commodore.
Hardly functional, the kit is all about form with a seriously lower ride height (optional) and wider bumpers and wheel flares. The front bumper and wheel arches are about 1.2 inches wider, while the rear bumper and wheel arches are roughly 1.6 inches wider.
The company said the kit is designed to sit over the current body pieces but recommended that a professional handle the installation. The kit fits the SV6 and SS VF Commodore models and is made from high-grade lightweight fiberglass and finished in UV protected grey gel coat.”
What’s next on Tech9’s roster for the widebody treatment? The company said it plans to introduce a version for HSVs and Holden ute and wagon kit due to popular demand. The VF Commodore kit is available for pre-order at $3,300 AUD, or about $2,600 USD at current exchange rates.
