Chevrolet Once Again Tops Most-Seen Auto Ad Chart

Chevrolet has been on an advertising blitz, and last week, the brand once again returned to the top of the most-seen auto ad chart.

WardsAuto and iSpot.tv track the advertisements, which has Chevrolet at number one with its “Switch to a new Chevy” spot. The ad has 294,244,499 impressions with a high attention score of 89.29.

The ad itself highlights new Chevrolet owners and explains that trying something different can be “exhilarating.” Scenes of new owners with new Chevy models such as the Equinox, Bolt EV, Volt, Silverado, Malibu and more fill the spot over a voiceover. The ad is tied to Chevrolet’s current cashback promotion for the 2018 Cruze.

Chevrolet held three spots in previous rankings, but in the latest findings, Kia, Hyundai, Subaru and Lexus fill the final four spots. Kia is advertising the Stinger sport sedan quite heavily in recent weeks following its launch.

  1. I am happy to see than Chevy is taking a stronger lead in ads since most of their best products are relatively unknown to the general market. When I bought my 2009 Chevy Equinox during the old GM bankruptcy, no one knew much about it, yet it ibecame GM second best selling vehicle, and second best selling CUV in the U.S.

And now in its third generation, it is still one of the best GM vehicles ever made.

  2. Good to hear. Wondering why Corvette is advertised so little. Chevrolet is discounting 2017 and 2018 Corvettes. Maybe if the car was promoted more they could sell without having to discount so much

    1. GM is fortunate that the Corvette is one of the few cars in the world that needs very, very little advertising. People know the car by name.
