Baojun has added yet another crossover to its portfolio with the compact 530. While compact in size, it offers more features and powertrain options than the entry-level 510 compact CUV.
The SAIC-GM-Wuling brand will offer the 530 in eight separate variants with a choice of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine or 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Transmission choices are quite varied with a six-speed manual, automatic or dual-clutch transmission available.
At the top of the 530 range is the “Flagship” trim, which comes standard with an independent rear suspension, LED lenses, a Harman Infinity sound system, side curtain air bags and an electric parking brake. All 530 crossovers come standard with aluminum wheels, roof racks and an ESP system. The brand also highlighted standard 3M sound deadening to ensure a quiet ride.
The slightly larger size and more standard equipment over the 510 warrants a modest price difference. The 530 will start at RMB 75,800 ($12,000 USD) and top out at RMB 115,800 ($18,300 USD). Baojun is sweetening the deal for the first 10,000 customers, too. Quick buyers will earn an RMB 5,000 incentive ($800 USD) and receive an 18-month interest-free loan.

I like the grill better than many done by Chevrolet. The “sandwich” bar needs to go faster than the faux gold bowtie which should be silver or black
